Easier said than done.. and I'm not sure that an HTTP tunnel is right in this case. The HTTP tunnel I used only tunnelled other applications (ones which used ports which were closed on the firewall) through port 80. So I had newsleecher which was meant to be on port 119 (blocked by the uni) being tunnelled through 80 (not blocked by the uni). So... all your traffic will still be going through port 80/their web server/websense. What you've described sounds like using your home computer as a proxy - if youre going to use that you may as well use one of the free anonymous proxies you can find on the internet. Even in that case it'd require changing the proxy settings in your browser, and they most likely cant be changed as they'll be set up to use the schools proxy, and you'll need to leave that be if you want to get outside of the local network (ie the internet). Its not... those figures arent genuine. Its cos those bots we've been talking about occasionally swarm the forum, from about 100 seperate IPs, so the forum thinks theres 100 extra guests online. Thats also why I reset it every now and then. I think the highest genuine figure is ~280.

The forum knows the IP's of all the spiders.. if it finds anyone browsing the forum with one of the 'bot' IPs it adds the bot to the online list. The other main one is the Inktomi spider.. which is for Yahoo.

Does anyone know where I can find a small ATX PC case? Must be around £30 or so, and only have 2 or so drive bays. The only ones I can find have 4 drive bays.. Tower stylee by the way

Um, thats google 'spidering' our pages. Its a bot that goes around and collects information about all the pages, then stores the info in the google database.

Very impressive - which I could design like that The robot thing reminds me of the video to GLC half man half machine, and just thought id mention (I'm a picky b*****d but bits like these stick out a mile to me), the inner bit of the P on the second page of the pebbles bit is filled with white, rather than the background colour. Wouldnt normally have mentioned it but the rest of it is so perfect it stands out. Nice one.

Um... apparently you might still be able to use the IP - http://83.170.72.216/~trials/forum/ (that'll get you to the front page) When you click on a link you'll need to replace "83.170.72.216/~trials" with "www.trials-forum.co.uk" If I remember correctly, translation sites do the proxy thing for you. Try www.av.com (aka www.altavista.com) and click on translate. Do the translation from *language of your choice" to english. If that ones blocked google also has one at www.google.com/translate.

Sounds like a PAL/NTSC problem... Are you using it with the same TV you used to use it with? If not try it on there.
