Right... Started preparing the car, or should I say were now making the preparations for preparing the car for the rally.. Basically I was wanting to know, does anyone happen to know of (comfy) front car seats that are compatible with a mk1 fiesta? Maybe out of an escort or something... I really dont know. We went looking today for some replacements around a few scrap yards, but they were all closed, apart from one which had some nifty ones in a metro up there. That would obviously require making a bracket to mount them into the car though. If its unlikely that we will find some comfy ones that'll just slot straight in we'll have to make a bracket anyway.. The cigarette lighter we've got a good idea on how to fit.. but any ideas about spot lamps? Do they just hook up to the battery, with a wire going through a switch mounted to the dash? Or is it harder than that?

Cheers to the 2 who reported it... the other 10 who have replied for some reason, just report it in future please

Does it always get to the same point in the video and then crash? You could download some program that checks the validity of the file, it may well be corrupt by the sounds of it.

Chill out Si, its comments like that that makes this forum seem so up tight.. he was only giving his opinion Alright frame, like the colour, like the retroness, its a breath of fresh air (didnt think id ever say that about an old school style bike), but... I wouldnt go to the length of saying i'm gonna make a mess in my pants over it, its not that special IMO.

Plus its a journaled file system, meaning data gets written to a log before it gets written to disk, only once its written to disk does it get removed from the log. If the computer crashes, when it is started up again, the log is 'replayed' and the data which didn't have the chance to be written can be written, ensuring safe start ups from a known state every time. Thats a pretty big reason, and also why with NTFS you don't get the annoying disk check when you start up after a crash, like you do with non jounaled file systems.

Trials-forum Raffle - Echo Pure/lite Frame, Trial Noir Dvd Etc
tomturd replied to tomturd's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Heatsink booster and pads added, 25 prizes now, check the main thread for updates -
It broke.. so I restarted it. All coming together now.. only one more bit to do which is when you edit a topic, for the right options to be selected at the top, at the moment they just revert back to the default ones. Much harder to sort out than I first thought. Overall though, it works. (new colours needed ) EDIT: ebay and for sale topics get the same colour, as they're much the same, as are trade and wanted.

We werent allowed them either. Kept mine in my room. Cleaners always saw me taking it in and out, but making them a cup of tea and having a chat every now and then keeps them sweet. Locked it to the fence outside when my room was about to be inspected
-
They'll have to (well, there will be one of them selected by default, so its up to them to select the right one)

Yo. Heres your reply Um, those icons, good idea in principle, but closing every topic which doesnt use the right icon is a hassle, plus it means extra work for us. People cant be arsed to write FS or WTD, let alone use a post icon, most people (like me) just skim over that bit and jump straight for the add reply button. This system means people HAVE to select an option, and for the 'people arent sure if its mod or stock' ill add a 'mixed' or 'both' option. The way you suggested also doesnt allow you to view only mod items, or only stock items. Once its all sorted, this way should mean less work for the mods, less annoyed people getting their topics closed, and happier people being able to find exactly what they want, quicker. As for my resolution, i use 1152x768 (did have it on 1280x1024 but realised I spent most of the time about 5 inches from the screen ) I just resized the windows before I took a screen dump

We have that already, click the little orange box next to the thread title () Many subforums = shit idea. Another one of my personal pet hates, forums with 100 different categories, even though there are only 3 posts in the first one, and 4 posts in the 5th one, and all the rest of them empty. Also, what if someone had say.... a stem AND a pair of forks to sell? 2 topics to keep track of (twice the work for all of us). I'm liking adamtrials' suggestion though. Possibly have the background red for selling and blue for wanted, and then text on top as to what it is, eg mod/stock/mixed. Nice idea. I've got nothing to do today, I might have a bash at that

Yep post here, or email me at tom@trials-forum.co.uk -
*Any more suggestions welcome, but be prepared to recieve a long winded explanation of why I don't like the suggestion if thats the case, is what I meant to say. But seriously, theyre all considered. IE the paypal one
-
Precisely. 10,000 unique visits, 100,000 page views = 10 page views per visit. Thats the easier way of working it out
-
Ive tried the paypal thing, its relativly simple to sort out but the forum software isnt playing fair tonight. Ill have another go tomorrow. About locking topics.. as has been said, it will probably get out of hand. Since allowing members to edit topic titles there been a spate/spaight (?) of people feeling the need to delete the first post of their topic and editing the title to say 'DELETE' once they have got their answer, very annoying as it stops people in the future from being able to search for that topic and its just generally not the way forums are meant to be (plus it means us mods have to then delete it, rather than just let it drop off the first page). Allowing members to lock their own topics will probably just add to those kinda problems. As mark said, its the mods jobs to lock topics, so report the post or PM us asking for it to be closed, or just edit the title Any more suggestions welcome..

sure is! I didnt last long enough watching the flash animation to get the relationship though I've just bought the draw forward 2 days, to 17th of July. Realised that 19th July is cutting it find to get the names and addresses of all the winners to send off to all the donators. If anyone has any problems with that for some reason let me know and ill see what I can do. Just to reiterate what I said earlier in the thread, I'll be sending out an email to all 5000 members of TF about the raffle (and some general TF updates for those who havent visited in a while) in the coming weeks. If anyone/any companies have anything to donate and want their web address on the email nows the chance to let me know. A very good opportunity to get some nicely targetted advertising, at a price that you decide! Unrepeatable
