Those ones from halfords look mint for the price. I took the risers of my MTB last night to see what they where like on the monty, but the clamp diameter was too small. I presume i have a 31.8mm stem on my Monty? If so those bars from halfords are mine Max

Is it safe to order from Trials-uk? I have heard all the horror stories about the orders not appering etc, but i need a braided cross over for my maggie, and the only one tarty has on their site (apart from the ful kits!) are the hope ones and there more expensive. max

Hi, Im looking for a new square taper bottom bracket for my monty. I need one thats going to last preferably. Trials Uk ahve some nice neon sq taper BBs but i dont really want to order from them. Tarty have the Echo/VP BB and that looks good value for money. Is it decent, or are there better out there? max

Had a bit of an outing to day with the monty. Was really getting into it over in the train station car park, in the big planters and railings etc. I got told to move on by a ponce, because my brakes where squeeking and where making to much noice for him . I ventrured a little further from home, and went to the playground( ) because of the few old skate ramps there. Nothing there trials wise and riding a half pipe isnt much fun on a mod! I need somewhere to ride dearly, and i was thinking that because the easter holidays are comming up, would anyone be free to ride in plymouth during the day? max

Ive been fiddling with my bike for weeks, and now i think i have got it just how it should be. However, all this is good, but my riding is toatally pants! I can bunnyhop, endo, sidehop and hop on the back wheel, but i am a real beginer. I need little things to practice just in my garden and in the street to try and get better. I really would like to lean to hop up onto walls and things. When i try them now, i just plunge the front wheel into them and fall off . Any little bits to try are welcome. max

Cheers for all the help guys. Just realised that the lever body was infact a front lever. So when i bled it, the air couldnt escape properly because the top bleed hole is in the wrong place. Even when the lever was positioned upwards. Again thanks for all the help. Max

Thanks for all the replies guys. Im going to have a better go at it tonight. I also have a slight buckle in my rear rim, so im going to try and pull that out aswell, to make the brake easier to set up. Thanks

Cheers guys, I did try a water bleed in my kitchen sink last night, but once i had done it, i couldnt even get the pistons to move .i might try it in the bath later as then i can straighten the pipe out under water. Am i doing anything wrong? max

My rear maggie is really f***ing me off. The cross over split, so i took it off and replaced it. When i bleed it with oil, and set up the slaves right, there just isnt any hold. The lever comes all the way into the bar. even with the TPA fully ajusted . Can anyone please shed any light onto whats up, as i really dont want to shell out for a new maggie. As the title says. Can i take my bike on the train? Reason being, there is a small branch line just over the road from my house, and i need to take my bike on the train so i can get into plymouth for rides at weekends. Max

Why not copy the geometry from a Monty 221? Make it a bit nicer looking and its got to be a winner.

This sounds really dumb, but why not try a single downtube? Would be really light, but weak.
