probably cross threaded. In which case its time to unscrew them as hard as poss, and new bolts or bb depending on which is damaged. Max

put a smear of grease on the BB where it comes into contact with the crank arms. Job done.

I am toatally unsure why it does split. Just occasionally it will split at the top of the barb.

Has anyone tried the hope kevlar brake hose? im forever bursting crossovers and wonderd if this would be much stronger? Hope Kevlar Hose

Whats so bad about them? My monty TI cranks are really old (square taper), and i'm a basher. They've never let me down. To be honest, what's the point in a drop like that anyway? Something thats light and for competition use is'nt gonna stand up to behaviour like that.

Its not sanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honnest all it is is cleaning any corrosion or dirt that may have occourd on the piston. No Material from the piston is being removed.

You can pump them all the way out. And then its easyer to clean. I used some 1000 grade wet and dry to take any bur's off the pistons. When replacing them, give them a good squirt of Gt85 and re blead.
