  1. Drill it out and then tap a new thread for a slightly bigger bolt.
  2. All sorted now with a new 180 rotor
  3. well maybe i will keep that in mind alex. Just not just yet. Id have to find another mod i like before i change the frame. You got anything?
  4. The reason i ask is that I have always thought dot 5.1 is something waaaaayyyyyyyyyy differnt to other dot fluids?
  5. Im going to stick my eggs in here as im in the same situation as alex. Taking the outside piston must be okay because of the removable bore, but what about the other side? And when rebuilding is Dot4 okay?
  6. Wow i actually got complements about my bike lol she rides okay. That pic was taken ages ago, i will have to get a more upto date picture of it on here. Went to my LBS (dartmoor cycles) I thought they where a good bike shop but he didnt have a clue on what i was on about. He gave me a few free thin washers anyway. Made the brake loads better but now it binds I really want to sort it because its uber powerfull. Will have a go setting it up better when my new rotor arrives.
  7. find someone in your area to ride with. really will help.
  8. Well the plumbers wont be finnished today My mum gets in at 2pm so there is a possibility of me being able to catch a train and get into plymouth at 4.30. Then the only two trains i can catch back home is at 6.20 and 9.30. Is it worth it for a couple of hours?
  9. As i say depending on the plumbers here, copthorne around 10-11 ish? The weather is meant to be gash though! Heres my number 07871182719
  10. Unfortunatly no idea on the forks. They came on the bike. I have bought a 180 rotor from tarty so should be on its way. The shims, where can i get these? local bike shop?
  11. Sorry i dont like cable brakes And i do believe the caliper has a number 3 on it. I dont know if this has anything to do with it. I read somewhere that you can get shims to space the caliper. where can i get thease from? cheers
  12. Fingers crossed if the plumbers are done with my place i should be hitting plymouth up on wednesday with TJ. Anyone else going to be around?
  13. I have just aquired a hope mono trial. I use to have a clarks Clim8 six piston on a 203mm rotor and it was gash compared to the hope. I have downsized the rotor to a 160mm with no adaptors on the fork leg. when i look down at the disk, the pads only cover about half the disk. Do i need a 180mm rotor? Also the caliper seams to be to one side. The disk is more to the left than central in the caliper. Do i need to get my fork leg faced? max

Muel i am actually dying to ride with you! Dont know why maybe im just attracted to your bike colour. Do you ever hit up plymouth?
  18. Thanks for the replies guys. I fully agree with what tappets said. I was out on my beta last night and i poped the front wheel onto the side of a wall and just balanced there. I could have stayed there for hours whilst looking at a nobble on the front tyre, but as soon as i looked away i struggled to keep upright. Thanks guys max
  19. Hi all, I have a rather embaresing problem (for a trials rider). The thing is i find i have a real lack of balance on my trialbike. I ride a lot of motorcycle trials and find much better balance on that and my mountain bike, than my monty. I cant really keep the bike still. I just have to keep hopping around to keep balance. I can trackstand on a slight incline but on flat i struggle. Does any other noob suffer with this and is there anything i can do about it? Its making me ride less because it seams as if im not improving because of it. max
  20. I am actually secretly in love with wiggy. He is the future of brittish motorcycle trials. A total and utter legend. Ive met him twice now and even in the middle of a brittish championship round he still stops and talks to you. Bearing in mind he has no minder there, all the riding is butter smooth! just so relaxing to watch!
  21. That was awsome. Made me really want to go and shred! Wicked smooth style!
  22. Wicked. I will try and get in. I have to warn you... Im pretty useless
  23. I didnt know anyone from round here even rode trials!!!! Gotta sort a ride out with you guys....
