  1. a kona coilair would be a bit more burley if you wanted something more all mountain. My friend has a specialized enduro witch makes an awesome all mountain bike. Or why not get a hardtail? For your money you could get an absolutly beauty of a trail wepon that can go uphill just as well as down hill.
  2. now im independant and on the road i feel like i want to ride a lot more of dartmoor as its right on my doorstep. Thing is i have no idea where to go if im honest. So where can you guys suggest? Id really like some really big, tors or boulders to train on for my moto comps. Any help welcomed. Cheers max
  3. I have a 96 click tensile, never gone wrong on me. Good solid loud engagement. just makesure you service it to get rid of the greese as it makes them skip (like any freewheel).
  4. I defonatly enjoyed the first natural part. Once he went into the town i felt the music was a bit too moody and slow for the fast riding he was doing
  5. Holy Mother of brake rotors! Anyway very nice
  6. Fair enough. to be honnest though if i where you just wait out for a kool. Your face is worth more than a half days riding on a half link chain.
  7. just get one from tarty, it will be with you tomorow anyway....
  8. From what i can gather (centre of bb shell to centre of head tube allong the down tube) 650mm give or take 5mm. Seam right?
  9. rockshox lyrik joe. Pretty damn awesome especially with the U-turn
  10. absolutly love mine. It is a short feeling bike for the wb but once your used to it its all good. Strength wise its like a tank. Looks good. And with the right set up feels like a comp bike imo. Faultless For what i use it for but others have higher standards i spose. What do you ride now? in regards to alex darks comment about them feeling cramped (mine he is on about), his bike is a barge at a 1100 wb so they stand out from the crowd, not the usual. The geo is slightly more mainstream now unlike when they first came out. here is mine.... appart from it keeps failing, sorry.
  11. betas are renown for there smooth power. It doesnt take much to tune one up to the sweet spot. Thing is most people would shit themselves on a proper tuned bike. Regarding the trw mont, you could probably put a deposit down on a house with what something like that is worth. The power wont actually be much more than a beta 250. If anything less, its just the tourque of a 4stroke being off the scale. To anyone who is looking for a bike, do not discard any bike. Each mainstream trials bike rides different and everyone rides with different styles. Gasgas ride like there very short and have low footrests. Betas ride like there very long with low rests. Shercos ride very short and you feel fairly high on the bike. Try bikes untill you find the right bike for you.
  12. Chill out muel! lol Modern 125's are very powerfull and mine has served me well. However older ones are gutless indeed. My 2007 beta 125 is up for sale now. with a new sticker kit and rear mudguard £1700 get it while its HOT!
  13. what carb is it? I.e. What make and model?
  14. as title, anyone up for it?
  15. i have to agree. On my old mod, the chain tension was all over the place. As soon as the chain stretched it was useless. On my hifi i havnt touched the rear wheel assembly in a good 3 months.
  16. yes nick! 120mm? How much?
  17. yea i see what you mean matt. I could get the 130mm drop offs but they only come in qr drop outs. Not really a problem as i have a qr wheel around, just not as stiff i spose.
  18. thanks tom. Im really unsure now. Reason being my bike at the moment is just a huck bike. Im unsure weather i should save some money and buy a set of marzocchi drop offs. Anyone had these? I would hopefully get the 150mm 20mm axel single crown versions. The only thing is im unsure if you can adjust the rebound on them. Would be saving a fair bit over pikes. Max
  19. Cheers man, Im deffo going for a sram pc951 chain. never had any problems there. Now ive got a shimano xt shadow mech, so hoping it should live up to the hype. Shimano Deore HG61 seems like a good cheap cassette. Next thing on my list is forks. The DJ3's are a little out of there depth for all mountain riding. They do the job but the lack of damping means there not ideal. Hopefully going to get some rockshox pikes when the bank allows. My next question is, i went into my bike shop to have a look at some pikes (Just looking, i cant afford new!), and they laughed at me when i said they would be going onto a carrera kraken. Ok yes its a carrera, but ive had the frame for best part of 4 years and its been through shit loads of punishment and never moaned about it. Even road gaps and drops and she still lives on. I think there point was the forks ae worth more than the frame, but surely i could run the forks on it and in the future change the frame with ease and ive got a decent bike? If that made sence. max
  20. the video of the guy having his head chopped off was revolving. Way way worse than all the sick gay men vids on the net
