  1. Awesome vid! Not too sure if I like the music but everything else was great!
  2. makes sense looking at your profile picture
  3. Well that's not so 'beginner'.. Some good stuff in the vid! Ride your excessboy more I'd say
  4. So then the mongos I had are definitely much higher than all above mentioned.. Cheers bud!
  5. Thanks guys, I'll have a look!
  6. My last headset was onza mongo III if that tells you anything..
  7. Hi there, As my steerer tube on the forks is quite short I was wondering are there any lower profile cups for the headset or is it a standard size for all brands? Sealed preferably and normal threadless 1-1/8" Thanks!
  8. I had a few tabs opened.. Different topic, sorry!

    Pad backings

    All done cheers mate!
  10. What about those profile hubs? Don't know how they are regarding sprocket sizes and engagement points but many people use them for trials too so they should be fine, no?

    Pad backings

Is that not going to affect the material as well?
  12. Hi folks, I have a pair of yellow heatsink pads with plastick backings which have some serious cracks on them. There's still a decent amount of material left and am wondering if I can take the refills out and put them in some metal backings.. Is it possible and does anyone know a way to do so? Cheers, Nasco
  13. In response to the invitation - absolutely! But I think he didn't mean it that way mate. I am also a foreigner and sometimes the way I would express myself in my own language is quite different from what you'd say in English which could be easily misinterpreted as insult..
  14. offtopic: Are you people really not getting it or just like being philosophers about every little comma? I guess Damon Watson stands for a Huge Side Hop which is obvious and I doubt anyone would steal Damon's personality to get more likes on youtube... We are trials riders, not bloggers who kill for Likes and if there's anybody to say anything about it that should be Damon himself who apparently doesn't mind ontopic: Massive riding with less style but I quite like such type of aggressive moves. Reminds me of the old TGS vids apart from the music.. Shitty camera and a terrible edit but again - if I was riding like that, I probably wouldn't care much about cinematography
  15. #1 Don't need to mention to avoid plastic elements if possible, especially bleeding bolts and clamps. You can always get people to buy spare parts for upgrades by making different designs/colours but not ruining their brakes. #2 CNC'd over forged aluminium would be nice but more time/money consuming to produce. You'll need to consider what quality for the amount of money you want to provide cause in my opinion racing lines are too expensive and I am not sure if they sell as well as other cheaper brakes despite being of higher quality. #3 2-bolt bar clamps are so much more comfortable than older single bolt ring clamps when you need to take your brake off for service. I used to hate it when my grips were stuck to the bars. Even a similar clamping system to the K2 stems maybe? #4 The most comfortable blade I've ever had was an old dengura echo blade. Currently I have a dengura zoo blade but it's much wider and flat.. Some longer modification of the old dengura echo blades would be the best! #5 Shrouded nuts instead of olives? #6 Some kind of hose protection on the cross-over hose as nowadays most people don't use brake boosters and it feels terrible if you step on your cross-over while gapping.. #7 Flippable levers should be easier to produce as you will need only one type of adjustment for your cutting machines and they also give the end user two options to use. I've always appreciated this! #8 Having in mind where the standard 05 magura levers usually crack, you should fillet any such potential corners, so a bit more rounded design. I will keep adding points whenever something comes to my mind
  16. So improving your riding and becoming famous for that (like Danny Macaskill for example) should also be excluded from the list then.. I think that BJ. has a point there that people focus on some very broad terms like media and deng and we should narrow it down to more specific innovations. I quite like the integrated onza/inpulse tensioners cause they are innovative compared to the normal tensioners/snail cams. New pad compounds are another innovation as people mentioned above.

Would have made a lot more sense if they included some offroad scenes of the car (presumably that's what is meant by introducing trials in the add), so it would show its potential to deal with hard terrains as in trials compared to normal cycling. Or if there was any smart technology enabling the car to park/drive itself, then I can get the idea of it following the rider anywhere he goes in the video. But the way it is at the moment isn't quite clear to me.. Cool riding though and it does look professionally done! It just annoys me all the efforts they spent making it without any original idea..
  18. Beast riding, especially those pedal kicks at 0:29 and 1:30, but I didn't quite like the edit.. makes it somewhat monotonous imo

Oh that was years ago mate. But I still keep all your bits at home and will let you know if it's the same material once I have my bike with me

I am happier with my yellows in plastic backings than my adm's in metal backings (just saying) At some point I also had a pair of unknown green pads that were just as good as the yellow heatsinks. They look the same as the rockman pands on tartybikes website but I can't say for sure.. not lgm's, it was something else! Everybody knows for themselves, but I'd also suggest using average amount of tar on your rims which will help a lot!

    Update!

Boom! Thanks guys, that kinaesthetics idea is a killer and I don't need to misspell the last word! Dan's proposition, on the other hand, is what I was actually thinking on the lines of - something simple that everybody can understand and motivational in a very subjective way. Cheers!

    Update!

I need a moto for my project and am struggling with this, so will need some help. 3 words starting with B Y K and needs to be bikes/cycling/sports related. Something like 'Boost Your K....?' The last word could start with a C and be spelled with a K no matter if it's not correct, so B Y C/K Update!

Cheers Ben, The ground level has a 3500 ceiling height which would work better but there're also other criteria to consider when planning the whole thing and this seems to be the best option to suit all other issues. I was just wondering if anyone could suggest some low types of rails/ramps or anything low basically that would be fun to ride. I guess as it is not central to my project, nobody would really expect a completed redbull rampage bikepark and second, the low ceiling would eventually urge me to come up with some a bit more unusual/eccentric idea (apparently aesthetics are highly appreciated amongst designers' society over functionality)

    Update!

Sounds like an idea but most of the roof is arched glass&metal glazing structure.. The rest which is actually solid and flat houses my lift machinery (motor) room and would not be spacious enough anyway. Thanks though!

    Update!

Hi there, Currently I am working on my last uni project which would best describe as the 'ultimate bicycles related venue'. It consists of: Main reception within a Retail space located on the ground floor; Bicycles cafe and 5 rooms for shared Accommodation on the first floor; and a Workshop area + Riding spot in the basement of the world's first multistorey motor garage on 24 Vinicombe str in Glasgow. My project would be rather conceptual as probably none of my ideas will be applied into reality but I would like to make it as realistic as possible. Here are my concerns related to the existing structure. The basement ceiling height is 2700mm which automatically excludes any higher ramps as an option for my 'bike park'. After consultation with a structural engineer I managed to make voids in the ceiling where height would no longer bother my work but the overall track proposal should be quite low. As my building is A-listed (which means almost no structural alterations are allowed) and there is a main supporting structure running below the floor slab - digging into the ground is also forbidden. I did my best to design a mini park in the space but am not sure if it would work at all (cause it looks quite ambitious for the space) and if it does - would it be fun to ride.. I also spoke to one of my friends who rides bmx and the guy suggested using some boxes and low rails rather than pipes, pyramids etc.. I was considering an indoors pump track as an option but am not sure if it would be of any interest to potential riders.. Could you please share any initial thoughts or any general advice that I need to know when I plan such installation? I can also provide with a section and a floor plan if needed. These are some inspirations to illustrate my ideas for the moment: Should it be more abstract Or something busier of this kind I guess apart from some flatlanders not my riders would be interested to ride in there having nothing but a few rails, so it might be focused towards teaching commuters how to deal with some small obstacles.. Anyways, please share your views on that! Any opinion and comment matter! Thank you very much for the attention!
