  9. Hi guys, i know it's been a while but would you believe it my bike has turned up-the police recovered it from a premisis near to me (where i suspected) it is un used and apparently still in mint condition. Hopefully picking it up in the week. However none of my other stuff or my dads stuff was there so they must have sold it on. Afetrall who would buy a bike with no seat
  10. ok cheers dude. Not intending to do concrete bashing but you never know
  11. yep thats great. Bit concerened about the dropouts and length though because i'll be doing some fairly big stuff and alot of natural etc.
  12. cheers for that guys. When you say "too long" do you mean they actually look really really long for example a massive gap between tyre and crown or do you mean they really could do with being shorter to minimize flex?? It's just i have just seen some fitted to a BT and looks wise they seem fine and they dont look modified in anyway.
  13. anyone tried these forks, i have heard from some peeps that magnesium dropouts tend to fall off understress from running a disk. I have the skills, and facilities to make up some cnc'd dropouts and mount them on however is there anything else that goes wrong such as snappage or coming away from the crown?? Cheers-Hugh
  14. because i ride for cleanbikes, i chose to have new ones .

    Limey

v v nice dude. is that the 18t or 16t bashguard??
  16. There mint forks-thats coming from some one who has had 3 monty ti's. Solid yet light weight. Go for it
  17. I wonder how many people were running their bikes with shifters on but the gears werenot actually set up so didnt work . Also as barry said the bikes should be scrutineered before the trial then Andrei would have been given the oppertunity to add a shifter and cable. In my opinion it's a silly excuse to take someone's well deserved win away for a minor thing like that which gives no real advantage. I have seen vincent hermance put his bike on the scrutineering table at the french BIU world round, have his gears checked then cable tie the rear mech up after inspection right in front of the scruteneer
  18. yeah but the point i'm making is: if u can make the move with harder tyres it's far more skillful and means u can run your tyres harder to avoid folding. too many people rely on soft tyre pressures with a quick rebound tyre like the old monty tyres or echo tyres to make it up something or get the bounce. it's all very well on street but on slippery angled rocks etc it's no good having the low pressures. 26" riders like hermance have completely different section to the 20" riders and therefore can have different tyre pressures.

    Trials?

agreed duncan . add me to you MSN m8- trials_heffner@hotmail.com it's me, Hugh by the way, not some random stanger!!!
  20. I know how you feel mate, my monty ti was stolen last week from my garage, and the police didnt even come round-it took them 2 days to ask for a description!! . is there intersted in is stopping people speeding etc-bloody useless.
  21. did any one see raga's comment on trials central saying how he is going to win the indoor world champs again and how this was just a one off-even though bou has beaten him in most of the recent spanish indoor events.
  22. Thats what it's all about no matter the weather you get on and ride it. especially at competitions, i fell in a bloody ice cold river in andorra at world champs on first few sections. it's part of it. Slippery, rounded, uneven edges-not like street-all just square edges and flat surfaces
