  7. QUOTE(joe b @ Jun 19 2007, 10:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nice vid, there, Hugh . The only criticism's i have are that the song had already been used in 'Coust Scoop' and 'Stan Shaw' and either it was because of the camera angles or it was just areally dull day (the latter, by the looks of it) some of the line you did weren't visible . Other than that, though, great video; nice chilled out editing and some really nice flowing riding . Cheers, Joe. yep totally agree with you joe, i chose that song just because i knew it would work (well i hope), the day was dull and the vid quality isnt great, i'm on a mac laptop and i'm having a bit of trouble perfecting vid quality. I'll have to have a play and see what i can do. -Hugh
  8. yeah i cant seem to get the quality any better. I'm on a mac laptop with the most up to date software and i compress it to avi. 5 do use a firewire cable, i think it's the video making software, might experiment with different file formats. thanks for the comments any more?......
  9. it's along happisburgh beach, theyve just put all those rocks there. Shame about all the sand as it would be awesome with dirt or something
  10. I think the whole ribo's fall apart easily is the other way round, the try-all's fall apart easy. Mine lasted me 2-3 months max and thats was riding everyweekend and sometimes in the week. Huge holes developed in the soles and in the actual shoes themselves. My ribo's have been awesome really.
  11. youtube linky will be up shortly with a bit of luck.....for you lazy gits
  12. Hey guys, ut a vid togeather with clips i filmed recently, I do think i need a fisheye lens to show how big some of the natural lines are but i'm quite pleased with it overall. Let me know what you thought and post a comment once watched http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/hugh_b cheers-Hugh EDIT: youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zfw59TuzAQ
  13. yeah i have been looking at changing gearing to 16:14, and maybe having 170mm cranks. This will give me a little more clearance all round and save a bit of weight.
  14. Hey guys, just wanted to know what length cranks you are all running on your stocks, i'm running 175mm tensiles with an 18:15 gearing. I seem to clip them alot when doing hooks though and niggely things. It's probably just me not having the crank high enough to clear it but i would like to know if i could get away with running shorter cranks with that gearing. cheers-hugh
  15. hey guys, sorry to start a new thread but i'm in need of assistance. basically my dad has been told he's gota work at the weekend so he cant take me to The Devon british round. Could anyone offer me a lift? I live in Kent, nearish to Gravesend. Please contact me if you can. cheers-hugh
  16. well, tarty's will be bringing out their new ribo's very soon however they do have a clearance deal on their old ones if you can get them in your size. There's also the ribo's off ebay/trialsman. Cleanbikes do monty shoes although they are quite expensive. Apart from ribo or try-all i wouldnt reccomend any other brand as i have found them a bit rubbish. cheers-Hugh

    Happy Birthday!

happy birthday joe, i'm 19 in August, tell me people does it mean i'm "supposed" to act more responsible and sensible lol.
  18. hey guys, are the 16t tensile front free wheels avaliable yet? Also will a smaller freewheel on the front affect the strength of the freewheel itself and the chain? cheers-Hugh
  19. Right guys firstly sorry about the newbie question. I have a tensile freewheel and want to remove it from my crank arm. I tried the shimano bb tool as is meant to be used but it wont budge and keeps slipping out. Ive stripped it down so it's just the free wheel body and have tried smacking it on the edges with a hammer and screwdriver and a masonary tool. I've soaked it in wd40 and still no luck. How else can i do it? I have thought about cutting it off but dont want to damage the crank threads. cheers-hugh
  20. just like to say ive been testing the stem (for myself) for the the last couple of months and it's great. Light weight, tough and looks pimp. Gives a great riding postition.
  21. i ride for rimjam and yes, the backings are being re-designed. Chris (wally) who owns the company and manufactures these pads addressed a large thread about this problem a while back in full members trials chat. He is currently sorting the new ones out and judging by the performance of the old ones there gona be awsome!
  22. thanks for all the help guys. Have to make my mind up i suppose.
