  1. Got mine today guys, all i can say is PIMP, the yellow actually looks really nice, well on me anyway :$ hehe.Great quality and a real bargain at that price too!
  2. yes good on the back wheel but tap like a shopping trolley and having a minimal rise bb ie +10mm or +20 doesnt really make much difference to backwheel control or sidehopping, it's perfect! Tom i do believe there may be a short version of the limey avaliable soon so might be worth giving onza/supercycles a call? -Hugh
  3. yeah they are the x-hydra pads, thats the setup i always ran anyway, also what the top monty riders like comas and cesar ran.
  4. if you mean the old style "champagne" rims then yes i have used them. I ran a grind with short monty blocks....the brake was immense.

    Nick Bolt Video 6!

lol u nutter, youve improved alot and the bike really suits you, looks pimp too with those rims hehe. Some cool lines too, looks like your pushing yourself. Keep it up dude.
  6. oh and by the way...stay away from the high bb "trend" frames with high bb's are horrible and dont tap or sidehop too nice.
  7. i completely understand Tom, i know i'm a fair bit taller than you but i didnt regret it one bit. I'm not sure how long a bike you would feel comfy on to be honest, your welcome to meet up for a ride and take my limey 2 for a spin and see what you think. The techniques used are alot different and it's more of a "rolling" style with less hoppyness if that makes sens lol. PS: i have a brand new Coust mk2 frame sitting here, bit shorter than the limey 2 and i want bugger all £££ for it. cheers-Hugh
  8. me and iolo are doing the mad demo's, should be good. -hugh
  9. yer agreed, like i was saying alot of pics in this thread are sooo over exagerated but alot are not.
  10. I think people tuck because they think it looks good when they dont actually need to, it's pretty evident that thats whats happening in half of these pics, surely you would rather look like your pissing up something than struggeling and maxed out?? The top riders in the world tuck when they sidehop/tap/backwheel because they have to as not because it looks good. You'll only see them tucked on stuff thats pushing their limits.
  11. sounds like none of the spokes are tight enough, take it to your local shop or send to tarty's and get it trued up nicely, aslong as it's laced correctly it shoudnt need dismanteling. -Hugh
  12. exactly lol, i dont quite know how "coolness" got into this thread but i use ribo's because there what i like and they perform great and i feel comfy in them. Coolness doesn't come into it haha.
  13. they look great Steve. nice one!
  14. i do rub the crank arms really bad and my k-sas style shoes (black and silver) showed signs of wear on the inners in a week! The silver had rubbed/peeled off, the new suede ones i have havent shown any real signs of wear like my others did.
  15. haha agree with you there Ali the k-sas do look gash and i was not happy atall with my black Ribo's i bought from koxx uk as the material used fell apart and it wore through on the sides to holes etc, Hate them or love them the "real" ribo's are ace to ride in, i think they look mint and are defo longer lasting. Good on you guys
  16. I think they look pretty cool guys, i can vouch for the suede material aswell, i ride nearly everyday and my suede ribo's havent really worn (touch wood), i also rode with them in the mud and rain at the last YMSA and my feet were pretty dry + they came up like new afterwards. Also remeber these are the "proper" ribo's and this style of shoe seems to be harder wearing than the other designs such as the old black ones i had.
  17. from wearing trials shoes (i wear ribo's by the way) i find i have alot more grip on the pedals in all conditions, also more grip on stuff like rocks etc when you fall off or dab etc. I feel they give me loads of support but give me far more flexibility than somehing like a skate shoe. They alos feel light on your feet. I have had trials shoes of some description for about 6 years now and ribo's are deffinately the best, the new ones off tarty are what you wanna go for, they are "proper" ribo's and the sude material is far more durable than any other material used on ribo's/ribo branded shoes.. I personally could never go back to any other shoe for riding in. Their just pure awesome.
  18. That was ummmmm.........amazing! Silly silly big stuff aswell, that static at about 1:10 Amazing rider, just shows whats possible now days. Thanks for posting it up.

    Pad Reviews

Brake- hs33, water bleed Pads-Coustsink cnc Grind-Fresh Have run these pads for about a week of solid riding now and one trial. They beeded in on a slightly worn grind pretty quick (i just rode down the road with the brake on lightly. Has a nice lound honk and quite good hold, very grabby and havent worn much. Rode the YMSA trial on Sunday in the mud and rain and they worked great there too, even had some honking going on in the wet, held well in the muddy conditions. Fresh grind on after the comp and even louder brake and loads of grab and hold. Well worth the money, buy some!
  22. mint pics Ad's, looks like some good riding was going down
