  1. Thing is they don't even reckon the guy was speeding, just lost it on an ice patch, bit of an act of god... Joe
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/4592412.stm This strikes a chord for fairly obvious reasons, though this is just cruel fate, just looking at the pics of the bikes all over the road is naaaasty... Thoughts to family and friends. Joe
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=anThGGk...page=13&t=t&f=b Ouch, I have nothing more to say, serves him right, really. Joe
  4. Cool vid, just slap whoever kept saying "Yes!" in all the clips for me Joe
  5. Right, just wanna make sure 68x127.5mm UN53 BB + ACS Claw + Echo 2005 cranks + Echo bashring = rubbing on t' BB or not? I just wanna check 'cos I've officially fudged all hopes of ever running a bashplate again and I want to make sure this'll fit. I'll probably take a file to the tabs on the Claw anyway (though not much), though hopefully this isn't 100% necessary... Joe
  6. Word, I was out riding in a T-shirt earlier and hardly going for it, but was still comfortable. Joe
  7. Contains spoilers for a film first released over 70 years ago?! You'd best be taking the piss boyo Joe
  8. I think I rode one of those for a while... old steel monty frame anyway, it was a beyond battered and I borrowed it off a friend just to ride on, to be honest I spent the next few months searching for another one. Rode awesomely, my favourite mod ever. Currently got an X-Hydra, it's one of the slightly newer Alu ones, but the geometery is still very nice. Cheap compared to the long low and silver club, too Joe
  9. To be honest, if I were Jewish (and religious) I'd be pretty damn pissed if someone had used that. I accept the point about it being not entirely unrelated, though. Joe
  10. I can't be the only one to have noticed that the star of David is a Jewish symbol and therefore has nothing whatsoever to do with any of this at all. Whoever sat down and made this shit up was an ignorant twat (woo gimme a gold star) and probably though it was Islamic. Man this world is full of dickheads *rages* Joe
  11. 22:18 and 20:16 are nothing alike, 22:18 is far lighter. Just so you guys can appreciate this, you've gotta work out the gear ratio (how many times you turn the wheel per full crank turn). Do this by dividing the number of teeth on the driving sprocket by the number of teeth on the cassette. soooo 22:18 = 1.2222222... and 20:16 = 1.25 so the wheel does 0.028888888... turns more per rotation of the cranks than in 22:18, meaning it feels "harder". Somebody (Fatmike?) has a ratio calculator in their sig, if you can't be arsed to work it out yourself. Joe
  12. Haha couldn't see that one coming Joe
  13. Does that actually mean anything? No? I thought so, nice try though. Joe
  14. I'd agree with the man that said Onza. Good quality stuff and good prices, too. Plus they do it all, I don't know who it's best to email, but I'd try Supercycles here. Good luck to you mate! Joe
  15. Just to clarify, does this mean you can bunnyhop to backwheel? 'Cause that's what Tomm meant. Joe
  16. Haha tell me about it, almost certain to be a viral. Joe
  17. 10mm axles + pegs = dodgy If I were you I'd go for 14mm, wouldn't be too tricky, would simply a drill and some imagination (Y) Joe
  18. Cypress Hill in the very background?
  19. Nobody else has the lack of sanity required to ride with blacks, Rowan. :P Joe
  20. Hotmail is one of the securer sites on the internet, the only way someone has managed to do that is finding your password or the answer to your secret question, more likely the latter. I'd be utterly amazed if anyone on here could 'hack' it to be honest with you. The only thing to do is find out who changed it (it'll most likely be someone you know) and threaten them with a blunt object. Joe
  21. I've been known to dabble in it. Can gap a coupla feet and up 18". I'm gonna have to recommend a proper 'trials' one. I built a 19" rim into a budget one with my good friend Stephen's help (OK so he did it all! ;) ) and the cranks aren't up to it, they're a teensy bit bent and twisted now (though the tapers are fine (Y) ). Erm, not that much more to it than that. Quick tip for when you're learning to gap, resist the urge to kick, 'cos you'll end up flat on your face :). Joe
  22. No good, you can't link directly to the vid.
  23. Wasn't it a car that did that to the poor chap after his front brake faded and he couldn't stop? Or is that some other unlucky sod? Joe
  24. Don't get me wrong, receiving presents is ace and I'm anything but selfless, but giving someone a present they really like and means something is a fantastical feeling. Joe
