  1. Pretty damn smooth Michael, not ebing one for noticing editing too much it all flowed pretty nicely to my mind, and I consider it a privelege to see you in so much pain, more of an honour to have filmed it, bwahaha... Joe
  2. Just talking about emo as a genre of music here; it all boils down to personal tastes, you either like it or you dont'. Personally, I don't, it grates and annoys me and the kids that associate themselves with it piss me off, fine, my opinion right there. However, I can't say emo is shit based on that, I just don't like it, and I don't consider myself important enough to hand down my opinions as fact. The attitude whereby people classify things they don't like as shit is arrogant and it annoys me. Joe (PS - ask anyone who knows me, I'm full of myself to the point of arrogance, so any comment about the arrogance of people's opinions is an argument from authority)
  3. It's 'might not have' please cut that out it's shocking english. Also I'd rather see a 'lazy' member on the forum (which is designed for asking questions on anyway) than a member who is so proactive they go out of their way to post and be abusive, chill, it's not like someone posting a question has done anything to you, personally, you seem to forget no-one is under any obligation to post a helpful reply if they don't want to, in fact, they won't, but most people do, however, have the courtesy not to be abusive. Joe EDIT: I kinda missed the point with the original post. Nick, there was no need for that answer, all of the above applies to you, not Davetrials, but Dave, don't rise to it, people have every right to be stupid, there's just no need to join 'em.
  4. I don't believe i have any pics of the time this happened , but basically I hit my shin into the pedals the hardest I think it's possible to without breaking it, thanks to the joy of 7mm of pin sticking out of the pedal it took it straight down to the bone and did its best to tear away all the flesh you can see between the two scars, cue a trip to hospital with my leg in complete shock and pissing blood and fourteen stitches and 6 months later it was fully healed :shifty: Joe

  6. Nope viscosity is right, it blatant though :bunny: Joe
  7. Your lovely biscuits are usually a bit suspect mate, not many people expect a chocolate chip and THC cookie :deej:" Joe EDIT: Cling film isn't a necessity, I did a mass freezing of four bananas per sandwich bag, worked a treat :bunny:
  8. Erm, that'd be the manual focus mate :bunny:
  9. Quality allen keys are a must! Handy little tip for pumping up a flat tube when it's difficult to seat the pump on the valve 'cos it keeps receding into the rim, don't push on it, pinch the tyre and squeeze the valve down, much easier. Joe
  10. Haha, 30cm watch face, now that there would be some over the top bling. Joe
  11. You said it, I thought Onza were being cheeky at £15 for a new bash plate, didn't realise Monty charge £27 :) which, for an ultimately sacrificial bit of mass-produced metal, makes me wanna wretch... Joe
  12. The whole frozen banana thing is something I've not done since I was really ikkle, but if i remember correctly the thing to be doing is coating them in chocolate before freezing... Joe
  13. I'm there for all of those dates if funds permit, I'll give you a big hug Danno, I've missed you :) Joe

    R.i.p Frame

I beg to differ, if the bloody head-gusset on the downtube of my T-Pro wasn't there (or even better was welded with an open end) I'm sure it wouldn't have died on me as quickly as it did. Open-ended gussets rule, cos they don't kill your frame by adding a weld to the end of a bit of metal that wants to push into you downtube and crack it (Y) Though I did like the geometry of it OK, and I'm not ruling out that I got a duff one. Joe
  15. Succulent, sounds like it is somehow. Joe

    Tm Show Demo

Puts the Ot Pi brand of demo-riding to shame. That bit where he was hopping over that guy was, far more stylish than the boring old "sidehop a small child" type stuff, I'm a fan :turned: Joe
  19. I got the TSG shinnies for christmas, and being honest I was really scepticaly about how well they'd work, but they're really good, they've saved my shins a lot and allowed me to ride again basically, as after I got involved in a fight with my pedal that required 14 stitches I didn't really want to climb onto them again without something substantial protecting me. http://www.wadescycles.co.uk/shop/asp/prod...+AND+ANKLE+PADS Kinda like those, minus the ankle guards, couldn't find any exactly like mine, but I think Winstanley's do 'em, I've just been to lazy to look. Joe EDIT: Yeah, they do http://shorl.com/hydahynomymo
  20. Your Maths is a tad off there Monkey, assuming the population is around 60,000,000 6% comes up as 3,600,00. Which sounds more like it. Joe

    Smoking

OK, first off if you're going to present an argument let's see a little consistency; you say the non-smoker fixed the results, but seem to skip over the fact that the tobacco company will have a multi-million dollar vested interest, bad mistake number one right there. Passive smoking exists, it's common sense for crying out loud, if I'm around someone who is smoking I am inhaling smoke, and just because I didn't pay for it doesn't mean I don't get the negative effects (as well as the positive of course, nicotine rush and what have you). Continuing on from that, the number of elderly people in retirement homes that contract lung cancer and other respiratory cancers (throat, mouth etc) and don't smoke is a lot higher than that of the normal population, basically because they are in close proximity to people who smoke. On a separate point, smoking doesn't guarantee you lung cancer, what it does is increase your chances. As I'm sure most of you know cancer is caused by the DNA of a cell being screwed up in such a way that it reproduces uncontrollably leading to a tumour and the failure of whatever tissue the tumour is in unless the faulty cells are removed or killed. Said f**king up of DNA is caused by radiation, which you're constantly surrounded by at low levels, so anyone can contract cancer. However, cigarette smoke contains chemicals that emit radiation, especially when hot. Inhaling these particles past tissues that are sensitive as it is makes it far more likely that some of your cells are gonna get f**ked, basically. Never even tried a cigarette in my life, quite proud of that. I don't dislike people on the basis that they smoke, everybody has some daft habits. I don't mind the smell of it particularly, but that doesn't mean I like it, and I'll always stand upwind of someone who smokes, mainly 'cos I'm asthmatic and it makes me cough and generally feel really unpleasant. In conclusion, you smoke, you take a risk, fine your decision. Some people will react aversely to your decision, accept that, you're not going to change it. You will damage yourself through inhaling smoke, passively or actively. I don't choose to, don't make me (Y) Joe
  22. I think the inverted commas implied he faked 'em???
  23. Basically, I need to know whether it'll fit, and a coupla of opinions of the booster would be very nice too. Cheers, Joe
