  1. As a testament to how easy PE is as a GCSE I was in hospital for the exam and still got an A*, and as for these kids who get half the earth for passing GCSEs I got 6A*s and got jack shit, small discrepancy there... Joe
  2. I'm with Tomm on that one, if you're knackering the internals as fast as you say you are anyway doubling the springs will only make that worse. Joe
  3. It's more natural for me to run pegs on the right as well, so I did, never really had a problem hitting the drivetrain even though I wasn't exactly running a compact one B) Joe
  4. http://www.on-bike-video.co.uk/obv-cam-joyrider.html S'only £130  Joe
  5. I rode for a while with a banana wedged into my back wheel, which I found amusing. :ermm: Joe
  6. Gaze away perverts :ermm: Full collection Joe
  7. For my pointless AS exams I got A English Lit B German B French B Critical Thinking B Drama and Theatre I'm a bit pissed off with the French and German grades 'cos I know I'm capable of As just buggered up the oral exams, and I'm dropping English, which is my only A *d'oh* Joe
  8. You legend, cheers matey :- Joe
  9. I know that's why they're ground off, but I really don't want to do that, my record with freewheels is poor at best and I want to be able to get it off. Joe
  10. Mike hasn't welded his, it's got 16 bolts holding them together as well as a bit of Araldite :- Joe
  11. I'm pretty sure this kinda stuff isn't allowed on the forum... Joe (Find a keygen off P2P you lazy bugger :- )
  12. Simple quick question, will and Echo Bashring fit on Echo FFW cranks with an ACS Claw without me having to grind the tabs off the freewheel? And the same question again but with Monty mod cranks instead of Echos :- Cheers, Joe (UN53 68x127.5mm in an '04 Hydra by the way)
  13. No James, bikes are fixable, or you can at least get a new one. On the upside you probably have more hair than Aust, 'specially in certain regions... Joe
  14. Whilst trying to service a freewheel to get it working for a day's ride I had such a miserable time trying to put the thing back together I punched old bit of glass we had lying in the garage through and broke down for a good 20 minutes. Anger management would be useful I feel. Joe
  15. Sick riding, the bike control defies belief, quite a well put together vid, awesome :'( Joe

    .~

Just back from the vertical suits me fine, though my wrists were fine even when they were swept back a fair way (due to sucky stem bolts rather than my intention). Joe
  17. Righty ho, I have a pair of snail cams that I used on a borrowed frame to ride after I cracked my T-Pro, and I fell in love, these things rule. As such, I want to run them on my new frame (an '04 Monty Hydra for the curious amongst you) which, unfortunately, doesn't have holes for the pins. The cams came supplied with the little posts that are supposed to mount into the frame and basically what I'd like is someone who knows the thread width and pitch so I can tap the necessary holes into the dropouts. I'm still trawling through Google with no luck as yet, but if I find anything before I get a reply I'll post it so other people can use the info. Cheers, Joe
  18. What you need to do is compress, that means consciously think about sitting your arse down lower before you spring up for the hop, also make sure you're getting some spring from your tyres as you're on a mod 'cos it makes a hell of a lot of difference. I'm in the process of learning to sidehop myself, been trying it for a coupla weeks, getting ever closer to that elusive bar height (Y) Joe
  19. Did anyone else find that their elbows were super painful for a couple of weeks when they first started riding bikes? I couldn't straighten mine, and my forearms were constantly aching... That was a while ago now though, and I've grown up big and strong grr (Y) ... Joe
  20. Don't touch the things, not for trials. Trials requires grip, these tyres have none, therefore they fail as a trials tyre, simple really, oh and they're damn heavy as well. Joe
  21. I know you've said that you'd rather not be told to get a push bike but a roadie is a damn good option. It'll be cheaper, legal, get you fit and, perhaps most importantly really won't be noticably slower than a 'ped. I ride the 5 miles to work in about 17 mins, a journey, which on a scooter pinned all the way would take 10. You've not said anything about travelling vast distances on this thing so I'm going to work on the theory that it's for hops of a similar length to the ones I've described. I haven't mentioned that I use my Dad's old school tourer thingy yet either, I'm looking at getting myself a proper roadie (not an expensive one like, about £300-400 I reckon) and with that I reckon I could quite happily get my time to work at sub 15 minutes with a bit of practice. Everyone loves a man with nice thighs, you just can't lose. Joe
