I figured itd probably be easier to just sell some stuff and find something in the classifieds on here. Just a rough guide to what length really, i know id be better on a long frame, just didnt know if there was alot in it between frames?

Hey guys, although im not a complete novice trials rider ive never owned one and have been looking into getting one. Firstly, if anyone could advise me on what kindof size i need ( im 6'4" ), i appreciate im going to have to play about to find something that fits perfectly, just a rough guide? Coming from riding jump bikes and dh i like my cockpit setup pretty short, which obviously isnt the case in trials. Secondly, could anyone point me in the right direction of where id need to post an ad to swap/px one of my existing bikes for a trials bike. I look forward to spending a bit of time on here, and if anybody could help id appreciate it.

If you take the bolt down to any half decent hardware store, generally plumbing shops are pretty decent, and they'll be able to find a tap and helicoil kit for the size of the bolt, along with the right size drill bit. If you get a whole kit it should come with guidelines, if not its fairly simple, take your time drilling the mount out and make sure you get all of the debris out before trying to tap it. When it comes to tapping, do 2 full rotations in, then one back, this will help clear any swarf out as your going and make it alot easier, once you're done with that thread the helicoil in and job done.

Hey everyone, even though im new to trials, ive been riding mtb's for about 8 years now, and whenever ive had street/park bikes ive ended up hopping about and doing trialsy lines. The only problem is that any trials bike ive ever ridden has felt super slow and not very responsive, i want something thats easy to throw and flick about, but im 6'4", so dont really know what size frame i should be looking for? or more importantly what kindof bar/stem setup. i know its best to play about and see what feels right but if im going to be building one from scratch id like as much help as possible so i can get it close to being the right size for me.
