  2. How is it possible for them to keep the same wheelbase? I just cant understand it The bent one HAS to make the wheelbase longer hehe.. Please explain it to me! //Danno
  3. Just wanted to say im sorry to hear that such a nice bike was stolen..
  4. Let us know if a washer fixes your problem! Good luck
  5. I didnt see anyone recommend the Try-all one mr. zoot Anyway.. I have it and it has been running great for almost 2 years for me! I think he should get the 127,5mm, since some of the others only are available in 128mm. Well thats the one Im using. Correct me if Im wrong..
  6. I have tried.. Try-All Front - Awesome, long lasting! Try-All Back - Good grip I think, but wore down pretty fast.. Im riding mostly street, its also HEAVY! Maxxis DH Rear - About the same grip as the tryall, but seems to last longer. Pretty heavy too, but what can I say.. dual ply I guess Michelin Hot-S Rear - I wanted to try a really light tyre, and this was wicked. It was about 500-600 grams lighter than the tryall and maxxis tyres, and It felt great! Although the grip and puncture resistance was not as good as the other tyres. Schwalbe Big Betty Rear - Dont have this on my bike yet, but I have tried my friends bike alot.. Very light and with a large volume, and great grippyness I expect to be buying this one sooon Oh, Im riding 26".. //Danno
  7. I like rims that has alot of color! So I say, go for some flouroscent rims Btw. What bike did you buy? And which color?
  8. I like the looks of this one Especially since Im from sweden, and our flagcolors are blue and yellow! Nice mate!
  9. That was a fun day! And you all did some really good riding. If you likes those bails, Bj.. good thing they didnt include me in the vid Hope to see you again soon! //Danno
  10. I watched the vid and must say that it looks like it was a lot of fun! Wish I could have been there. btw. anyone know which artist/track the last one in the video was? It was my fav housey style?
  11. "i have no desire to ride competitions " I have tried many hobbies/sports and every time it has ended the same way... Quitting! When I was little it was first soccer, then table tennis and golf. I got good at all of them and started getting more serious. But when becoming more focused on the seriousness and results, It lost the "fun".. Atleast for me. So I started Skateboarding, bmx'ing, aggressive inlining, stuff I could do just to improve my skills.. without competitions and regular practice sessions. This is the way I love my hobbies I just wanna have fun whenever i want. For me trials riding is a way of getting away from my every day life. Just me and my bike, wherever I choose to ride. I am pretty sure that joining a club, going to practice, and do comps now and then, would make me quit riding! I started riding trials (a.k.a. buying my first stock bike) last year, And found a biketrial club close to where I live, but after all my experience, I'll stay away and just ride with friends.. Anytime.. anywhere.. Anyhow Well this is how I feel and motivate my answer in the little poll!
  12. DAMN! That was a erally enjoyable vid to watch.. Great riding, and good music, although the quality wasnt top notch Looking forward to your next video!
  13. But Jason.. Ofcourse you dont like any of them, you are a GU man just like I am But I'd choose the echo aswell. Looks like a decent frame Good luck in you choice!

    26" Gu Le

    - The rear hub is fixed. And Im running a try all 108.9 front freewheel setup - I havent tried many frames, so I guess I can only compare it to my heavier koxx racing code frame, of which I havent found any geo/weight specs. The GU feels lighter and maybe just a tad flexier, but not much, and the booster took care of that lil problem Will I notice any difference, if I were to put on my 175mm cranks instead of the 170mm ones?

    26" Gu Le

Allright! After riding a year and a half on my koxx racing code, with nice parts, even though I dont like the frame geo on that one .. I made an offer on a used GU LE, and since it was in such great condition, Im really happy I got a complete bike so cheap! Swapped some of my old parts onto this new one, and here's how it looks: A picture says more than a thousand words, but anyway heres the spec GU LE frame Echo ..something fork Try all rim on GU hub back try all rim on Viz hub up front Try all BB Try all 170mm cranks Wellgo Magnesium pedals Try all stem Viz Logic flat bars Hs 33 maggies front and back with green viz pads 74 Kingz tensioner tryall booster Maxxis Minion DH tyre back try all stiky as front tyre I guess thats about it! The guy I bought it from, used a longer and higher try-all stem and an adamant riser bar. I tried switching it to my old shorter, lower stem and also to the viz logic bars And I have to say that this gives the bike a much more streety feel! Im not sure what I like best though.. Im gonna give the other stem a new chance in a few days I guess Thanks for watching!
  16. Can a frame be sexy?? I like the looks of this! But the big question is, how does it ride?
  17. Ok here we go.. I use a magura hs33 rear brake and have copy-pasted the following from their website/pdf/manual. "They system is correctly bled when the pads move immediately upon activating the lever-blade." My master cylinder/pad moves as soon as i touch the lever, while the slave cylinder/pad starts moving only after pressing almost half the way down towards the handlebar. After last nights ride I noticed a big difference in braking power, and feeling, since the pads dont move and touch the rim simultanously. Is this a "bleeding" problem, air between master and slave? which can easily be fixed by re-bleeding it? Or could it be something else? I have been riding for 16 months or so without re-bleeding it.. and Im thinking that now might be a good time to try. Please let me know if you have any ideas! //Daniel
  18. I have used the brown koxx bloxx and yellow Viz pads on my smooth try-all rim. Only been riding in dry weather, and the yellow viz pads have been giving more grip than the koxx ones.. They feel really sticky and have been great so far! good luck!
  19. I dont worry much about anything.. but what annoys me the most is: - Pedals thrashing my shins.. shinguards will be bought soon - Chain breaking, even though im not doing huge drops n stuff. (happened once this summer) - Parts breaking... Its not really the cost issue, but more the delivery times for items, since I cant just go down to the closest bikeshop buying i.e. a new mech hanger. (snapped quite a few, and yesterday My front rotor got totally busted) Have a nice day!
  20. Nice riding indeed! Keep it up mate! Did anyone but me notice the sneaky schneeky "Lidl" commersial, in the vid?
  21. My current frame has 1065mm, the GU 1080mm, and the rockman 1100mm. I think the GU felt great getting up and keeping the balance on the rear wheel.. Will that feeling be lost if I were to have 2cm longer wheelbase? or does the 45mm mm BB compensate for that? 5mm higher bb than GU LE And would the 4.5 cm increase from my current frame, make it feel terrible?
  22. Hi there.. Im about to buy some new stuff, and first of all, frames! I have thought of either the Rockman ISIS or GU LE 08 I found both on tartybikes, and stole the geo specs from there... How would these 2 compare against each other? Lets say If I was about to have all the same components on either of the frames... How different would they feel, and what moves would be easier/harder, and why? If we forget about the different prices, and just focus on the specs of the frame. A friend of mine has the gu le frame, so I have tried that one.. and love it! The rockman has a higher BB, and a slightly longer wheelbase. Im more of a streetrider than natural, but most often Im just building "sections", with pallets, and for me its hours and hours of fun... Allright, here are the 2 geos.. RockMan ISIS: Wheelbase: 1100mm Chainstay Length: 380mm BB Rise: 45mm Head Angle: 71 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 680mm --------------------------------------------------------------- GU LE '08 Wheelbase: 1080mm Chainstay Length: 383mm BB Rise: 40mm Head Angle: 71.5 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 660mm (26") Thankful for tips and ideas! //Daniel
