Rebuilt my wheel yesterday and it was so much easier than I expected. It also fixed the problem I had with the wheel moving when riding. Great guide, Thanks.

Iv managed to tighten it back up and it still does not work. The only thing that i can think of is that the quick realse is not holding it. Is there a product that wil convert a hub into having bolts instead of the quick release?

Im not sure but i think the hub is a DDG hub. I have managed to get the casset lock ring off and make sure the bit with the grub screw is secure but I need to get a tool to tighten it up and hopfully that has solved it.

He was very luck to get away with what he did, my brother did that at half the hieght and he had to have his elbow pined and wired together and its been about 10 months and it still has not got better.

Iv got a quick release and its about as tight as i can get it and I will have a look for crack but i hope it isnt. I think it could be something to do with the hub because when I had the wheel out a round bit that goes on the end of the axel for the frame to attach to was lose but I could not put it complete on and do up the grub screw due to the casset got in the way, just wandering if this could be to do with it. Edit: No cracks and sadly taking it out and puting it back in does not work.

The problem that i have is when try pedaling along or any time i pedal forward the rear wheel moves towards the right side and rubs against the brake pad so it is effect me alot when i want to put pressure down to go up something the brake comes on and it stops me from doing any thing. If any one has had the same problem or can help?

Was a great day and the only complaint was my tyres, they did not like the dust and sand as i nearly walked up the slope on stage 5 in the end using all 4 dabs but had a laugh doing it. What was the name of the new place again?

Just looked at the weather for tomorrow and it looks like the rain is going to hold off tell tuesday so should be a good day.

I would like to but havent got the money for the train and then the money for HBTC next week end. If i can get hold of my mate then i might be able to get a lift but at the moment i cant.

I was going to go out riding sunday with a mate but cant get hold of him so i was woundering if some anyone wants to come ride southampton. If there is interest then say 11 at the spar.

I will be there, i did not do to well at the last round but was a great day and a lot of fun doing the techinical parts than just trying to go as big as possible and then stopping, that i have been doing sence i started riding. Looked at the 10 day weather forecast and the week building up to it is looking great so it should be nice and dry.

Thanks Nick, iv been thinking about getting a small grind for a while and as most of the time i ride on hard ground iv been putting it off and now iv statred doing HBTC i think ill give it a go but will have to watch out for the deep mud. Also will give me more confidence when riding in wet conditions so i can get out and ride more.

Sorry it slightly off topic but at the moment im runnung a smooth rear rim with onza limey pads and when the rim gets wet i get a dark black substance on the rim, it makes the brake a lot worse and when it drys the only way to get it of is to sand it off. I was just woundering if you get this on a grind or not.
