  1. What do you mean by "more drive out of one push" ? If you mean making one pedal take you further, increase the front or decrease the back. If you mean making one pedal sccelerate faster, increase the back or decrease the front. I think the most common gear for mods is 18:12 (closely followed by 18:11?) I find a lower gear helps gaps....

    Echo Cranks

    you need a bigger persuader :P (Y)
  3. Whatever you feel about each other and how things are run etc, it should not be posted on a public forum. Other forum members probably don't want to know or don't care. All these other forum members will see is a bunch of moaners who spend more time arguing than running a club. Keep it to PMs or MSN.

    My New Bike

I recently got a mag too.... To be the original bar+stem set up felt way too high and short. I've now got zoo bar+stem which is about 1" lower and 1" longer (depending on bar position) and the ride improved 110% All I need now are forks, booster, pads, grind and my front avid to bed in.....
  6. Update: Now she has zoo! bar+stem she rides 110% better :) Longer and lower  :) Next on the list: booster + fork...
  7. But I need the practice because I always go over the lines (Y) How about something like vulconising rubber with black ink mixed in? I guess I won't chip or crack.... maybe
  8. If it goes red, go over it again?
  9. Offer the buyer a free seatpost.
  10. Will you have your replacement in time for the Weds ride?
  11. Yea that disk would not slip no matter what I did until that painful day when the frame went {insert frame snap sound} (Y)
  12. Poop! Oh well, bar+stem on its way from selectbikes.com now so its all good (Y)
  13. Onzaboymark: Want to sell your Zoo! stem?
  14. Tom, I'm not coming now... (surprise surprise :turned:) have fun though >_<
  15. Had a proper ride on her today and she's sex on wheels :turned: Maybe its a mod thing, but she sits on the back wheel really well... Liking it so far, and should be mint once I get lower bar/stem, probably zoo! stem and... something (N) Edit: Kept secret cos people always want to ride new bikes.... (Y) (ahah ha ha .. um >_<)
  16. Thanks, this Zoo! stem looks lower. Maybe I'll get some more koxx bars cos thats what I use on Bo, and they feel nice :) Not sure about the bar clamp size though... :)
  17. Margrett :) (2005 T Mag) only arrived yesterday and she seems to ride quite well despite teething problems... 1) needed to true rear wheel as soon as she came out of the box. 2) within the 1st hour riding, her rear hub came loose and needed the cones (yes cones :)) tightening. 3) left pedal very suddenly came loose and almost lost bearings, ending the ride. Fortunately I know how to fix these little problems and have done, but surely you would expect a brand spanking new bike to run for more than an hour before needing a service? :)" Anyway I've been riding Bo (Zoo Boa) for a while now and Margrett is my 1st mod bike, but It feels like the bars are too high and too close. SOoo.. can someone recommend a lower, possibly longer stem than the one which comes standard? Cheers.
  18. Eep! That sounds like an 'I'm offended' type of reply :( It was supposed to be funny :) Sorry :) My post appears to have vanished anyway.
  19. Oh God! Not again! :("
  20. Tom you big woofter (Y) I'm coming
