Dan

    Cubase 5

What you need to do in order to get your head round Cubase is: first acquire the patience of a saint then couple that with all the time in the world! Sadly I have neither, hence the unused Cubase SX icon has sat on my desk top for longer than I care to remember. Dan EDIT: however my bands demo (check it out below vvv) was recorded using Cubase)
  4. Back to the topic... Yer, seen it before. SEVEN YEARS AGO, WHEN I DID IT MYSELF!!!
  5. With regards to ideas like euthanasia and the religious standing point on it (abortion could be included here too). I find it quite wrong that religious groups have such a say in modern day law. People have this idea that we should respect the church's views on these matters, when the fact is they are basically dictating to the 'non beleivers' how they should live their lives. They should have no involvement in the law on more debatable moral issues such as these, as people who choose to follow whatever religion should simply choose to not take part in whatever it is that they disagree with. Just a thought. Dan
  6. If it bothers you that much, there is allways a simple solution. Take one bread knife, and John Wayne Bobbit... tadaaa, cheaper bikes! Dan
  7. They can't get over the object one way so they dab over it. They're still penalised for it since they acquire a penalty point in the process. You're talking like riders practically walk through sections and that dabs don't count. The point of observed trials is to complete the section within the time allocated with the least points, if dabing over an obstacle will enable you to get through the section in time you do it and take the point. The better riders will clean it so why would they be worried about people dabbing. You don't ride comps so why are you even arsed, get over it. And for the record, since you obviously have little experience of riding comps or needing to dab, some dabs are hard to pull off and it can require a lot of balance and strength. Dan
  8. I have got my facts straight. I mentioned the fact that you were riding a toxsin in that video. Seems pretty straight forward to me, mate. Dan
  9. I usually have bits of shrubery or cobwebs. arrgh, I have this weird hang up about people saying 'plec'. It's 'pick' or 'plectrum' do not try and merge them. Plectrum's are dirty anyway. We really wanna see those fingers! Dan
  10. I'm happy for anyone who get a good deal for riding their bike. It doesn't effect me in any negative way. However the point of sponsoring certain riders is to promote the product. You sponsor a guy who rides amazingly while using a product so people aspire to own it because they have seen it beong put through its paces. Or they might want to own it because it may give them a confidence boost or inspiration to ride like the rider endorsing it. I could hardly imagine myself lookin at Girl A riding like a complete spak on Product X and me thinking: "Wow, if I get one of those I'll be able to ride like that!!!" :ermm: Dan
  11. Oi!!! Get that heap of trash off of my chesterfield now!!! :ermm: Dan
  12. I must say the Honig pads I got last week are the best pads I've used in a fair while. My brake works and feels great since I fitted them. Which is more than I can say for the Toxsin pads which lasted about 5 rides and were pants both with and without a grind. :ermm: Dan
  13. Onza 'team' eh?. That must be the new Onza 'Toxsin' frame they issued you with then... :ermm: Dan
  14. One can often fall foul when relying on internet searches as their only source of information. Last I heard the dictionary wasn't considered a well known source of scientific terms, more a literary interpretation of an ever evolving language often open to reinterpretation and corrections.
  15. That's actually a limerick, as is: There came an occasion one day, I thought I might swing the wrong way, But women are wrong, Their minges just pong, I should have just stick with being gay. Dan
  16. Wrong how? The forces holding the carbon and iron atoms together, although not a chemical bond, are stronger than some weaker chemical bonds found in other compounds. Thus, as I said above, it's terming as a compound isn't strictly true. However it is generally accepted by many that it is acceptable to consider it so, since it behaves very much like a compound in that in order to separate the 'mixture' it is necessary to put it through a chemical process, rather than just being able to physically separate it. Dan A 'little' knowledge is a dangerous thing
  17. Well, just pure steel, carbon and iron could be termed a compound since it contains only one metalic element (although this is not strictly true because the carbon atoms aren't actually physically bonded to the iron but sit between the iron atoms). However chromium molybdenum steel could be considered an alloy since it contains more than one metal. :- Dan
  18. I know you said that you think it's a long shot, but you're asking a bunch of kids over the internet advice over buying a Porsche. I have allways been confused by people who want to show off to complete strangers. Dan
  19. A pm I received a while ago... :shifty: (saved especially for such an occasion as this) Dan
  20. No, but thanks for the offer. I fitted a new one last night. My wallet hurts. Dan
  21. dude, have you been to the police yet? If not get down the police station and report the incident. And make sure you file for criminal injuries. Even if you don't think they'll catch him you should still report it. Dan
  22. I reckon I could do it in under 60 seconds from my doorstep. :D I'll be on a Coustellifake with toxsin fork, officially the longest rigid fork known to man. Dan
  23. Just do it. You don't need them, there'll be prently of riders out and you can laugh in their faces when you tell them of the immense riding that went down. (Y) If you still can't convince them just bang your headophones on and get on that train. Dan
  24. Thing is, it won't be a 'compo' claim through one of those dodgy solicitors adverts you see. There is a criminal injuries fund set aside for things like this. You're perfectly entitled to some compensation. Go and report the incident at your local police station, you'd be foolish not to. You don't even need a culprit to be found to be compensated. At least you'll get a new bike out of it. Dan
