If it creaks around the bb/crank area whilst you're pedalling check your bb cup, if it's a plastic cup then it might be cracked. Replace it and that should sort out the creaking problem once you put it all back together as that was a problem that mine came up. I just replaced it with a metal one sorted it out.

To me the lever blade looks ugly, something more thin'ish/sleek look. Yeah the blade does look short compare to other lever blades but that might be because of the image. Nice though.
