Hey is that an OT PI replica. i used to ride one of thoes. fun little bikes. rides like a BMX. great fun! to be honest i had problems with the handle bars moving on that one. but apart from that if you learn trials on that then switch to a more modern bike you be twice as good as if you started on normal geo!!! others might say different. but if OT PI can win the UCI worlds 16 times ina row on that bike. well what does that say!!!

Aaron.Tottman replied to Tom pocock's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I've been looking at riding worcester for ages. don't know the area though! won't be doing 30th though martyn ashton/animal team are in gloucester then!!! -
avid bb7 no smaller than 180mm (i run 203 replacing my hope mono 160mm) with any v-brake lever. £50-£60 the hope brakes are great but not worth the money over a bb7 only prob i've ever had with a bb7 is it locked up on me on one ride. my fault i didn't grease the arm bearings and it seased up. took it appart, greased it up and it's still working better than ever. and hope front hub all the way. bout £40 all you want with half the budget!?!?!?!???!?!!!

Why Do Us Trials Riders Get Soooo Much Crap?
Aaron.Tottman replied to mista-neos's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
it's different to them and most of them can't ride a bike to save their lifes. most other riders/skaters i know just ask questions, holes in the rims? no seat? small cogs? the ones that give you sh*t are just gelous ( if thats spelled right?) that you can ride it and they can't!!! -
Zoo bars are the daddy. never liked flat bars. if you don't know what stem to get check out http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=41 gives you a ruff idea on what size to get.

Chriss Akrigg said it best. "the faster you do it, the time you have to f**k it all up" I wouldn't go that far but the longer you sit and stair at what you want to do, the more sketchy you'll feel.

My KMC has lasted the last 2 years. replacing the links ona regular aswell. (experimenting with gear ratios) SRAM's just XC kit. used to use thier road cassette and every ring collapsed.

Been Riding With Out A Front Brake.
Aaron.Tottman replied to larrybailey~'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Riding chainless as well? frustrating but fun. same with my bb7. just kept locking up so stopped using it till I got home. -
B)hey, Riding around with a couple of other riders the other weekend, let shaun hook ride my bike and he pointed out that my left crank is cracked. i spent bout £130 on my tensile's (uci, 20t bash) and they've lasted for bout 3years nerly but the crack is getting bigger. what are people using for that price range and what would you recomend i go for and why?!? also what length of crank are people using. i'm using 170mm at the mo but i don't know but I think that they might be too long!!! cheers AaRoN

Aaron.Tottman replied to Aaron.Tottman's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
wow. never thought that these vids would get such a good responce. thank you all for the comments!!! working on the next vid. should be on soon. spent bout 60hours onit so far. hope it gets the same result!!!! aaron -
never riden a 24 so don't know what there like. 20 you lower to the ground so less distence to fall from. i find 20inchers you can be more accurate with you riding. i'm bout 6foot1ish 12stone and pulled my back out riding 20inch. but they diddn't have long wheel base mods back then. I own a stock and there more effort to ride but yes easier to learn on but moves are easier to do moves on. i reckon 1060-1070 stock would prob be best if you want a bike that you can though around.
