  1. But for £400 or whatever why not keep the bestest ever car in the history of the world evar (Clio) and then buy the grandad BM as well?
  2. Can we see a breakdown of this, maybe in the form of a pie chart? Couldn't agree more. I hadn't considered the number plate aspect of the change but going to the grandad BMW alone is a stupid move if you ask me.
  3. Try and gather some proof of the value- if you can show the going rate for an average-good quality version of her car if she were to directly replace it was £1600 then they can't really deny upping their bid.
  4. Except that the experience will be reasonably worthless once she's back in a front wheel drive car...
  5. It's aaalllll about the Martyn Ashton clip in Tricks and Stunts: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/172990-quick-pedal-up-question/#entry2394936 Also, in your vid you do that odd throw the bike in front of you, come to a standstill then go for the up thing which kills your momentum and I can only imagine making things harder. Try riding in smooth, and riding straight into the move rather than jerking your weight on run-up.
  6. They should put that on the back of the packet.
  7. I'm wondering if it's a deliberate 'feature' to help disperse energy in a shunt. If the seats were completely rigidly mounted all the energy transfers to the occupants. That's the mounting brackets though, the seat mounts ripping out is definitely more worrying...
  8. You better add pink. We all know the kids today love the pink... Edit: snaked or blind... one or t'other!
  9. Rubbish! you'll need to be careful when building the wheel back up as it may scratch fairly easily but beyond that it'll, be fine. As has been said just key the surface first.
  10. Are there any pics of Bill's dead Mustang? Very good write up and having watched Nick's and a few other Ring crash videos I don't think I'll be going any time soon, especially not on the bike!!
  11. Matty Turner on that mini Inspired looks truly awesome! Nice pics as usual Joe.
  12. Although a realistic fix of sorts, you shouldn't have to think about going to the effort and expense of doing it to a brand new frame surely?
  13. The guy was probably the CEO of Wonga.com. When Prawn reads the small print of his IOU it will state the effective interest rate of 4214%.
  14. JJ's sections in that were the reason I went to 20"- he was my hero for a long time!!
  15. Anthony Reid's run in the Chevron GT3 was pretty nuts. I think he actually touched the flint wall. Struggling to find the footage of it though.
  16. Surely although no opinion can be wrong (i.e. it's your opinion so it just is) the statement can be factually wrong and therefore false, as proved by Ali. And Christians.
  17. Computer says no. f**king music industry...
  18. I don't think he's shit, far from it but his 'style' just goes right over my head. Jeff in some of his early videos (so long ago I've forgotten the name... pre Revolution) is still impressive today and even for a big guy he always looked smooth. Ryan could do the moves but everything looked forced (in Revolution and Evolve for example) and the Manifesto thing I really didn't get because his normally forced riding then looked even more forced. Innovative, yes. Impressive, kinda. Smooth and stylish, not really. Just to be clear, I don't think he's ever actually made that claim, that was just me exaggerating.
  19. I've seen more damaged cars on the way to work! In fact a guy up my street has a Mondeo estate which appears to be crashed almost weekly and is held together mostly with gaffer tape! Looks a hell of a lot better than I'd expected but obviously there's plenty under the skin that's not quite so rosey...
  20. He lands drops like a sack o' potatoes!! To be honest I've never really rated him myself... Jeff Lenosky has always been far better to watch in my opinion and Ryan's strange way at looking at riding (fairly sure he's of the opinion that bike trials can solve world hunger/peace if you just give it a chance) is just plain weird. I guess he's been innovative and imaginative with his riding but the execution just seems to always be lacking.
  21. Interested to hear how much 28m of armco and 5 uprights cost... I have a feeling it ain't cheap!
  22. Has he said if it was driver error or a blowout/mechanical? Definitely looks like brown trouser time...
