  1. Both ways work for me. Top one includes the &feature stuff, bottom one is just the youtube code.
  2. I hadn't come across those Superstar QR's- just ordered myself one to have a play with on my Inspired (though that involves drilling out the QR adapters on my Hope Pro II which seems like a slightly silly idea... meh! As for the Deore project- what sort of bore have you ended up with once you removed the races? I would imagine you'll have to do a little modification to get the new bearings to fit nicely in there but it should all work out quite well... keep us posted!
  3. Ah, sorry- my bad. Although the Shimano spline has the fat and thin splines I'm sure it's possible to make sprockets (and therefore the freewheel) to work either way round while still keeping a Shimano compatible spline system. In which case it may be possible from a crank point of view.
  4. Freewheel would allow you to pedal backwards and free-wheel while travelling backwards but wouldn't do much when you tried to pedal normally.
  5. Looks boring and like every other generic hardtail out there. The old Chameleon stood out with low standover, chunky square chainstays etc. whereas that just looks like nowt special.
  6. And to be fair there are only so many ways (or maybe just one) that you can make such a simple component. Nobody buys pads based on the specific CNCing of the backing. It's a case of CNC vs. plastic and pad material/performance.
  7. Reminds me of how dodgy Martin Hawyes' riding was... Also don't think I ever noticed that at the end of the tunnel Martin blatantly faceplants when he tries to get up the concrete block. Or did I know that just forgot? Could watch Martyn all day long though!
  8. Some say he has CNC'd ears. Others say he urinates hydraulic fluid. All we know is he's called The Deng.
  9. Definitely interesting. Would be good to see tapered headtubes and mtb spec bolt through axles as well... something that other trials manufacturers could maybe pick up on.
  10. How many trials frames use BB30 at present?
  11. Engine design module... optimise a toaster/can opener/bashring. Yawhat? Surely the obvious thing to do would be at the very least car oriented... But what sort of optimisation? Are we talking the sort of CAE stuff Ash is talking about or are you talking about looking at an existing engine bay and optimising the location of the various service components to make life easier to carry out basic maintenance or to change an air/oil filter/plugs etc?
  12. But why does it default to that and why would it ever be sensible outside of Apple's weird world to mess around with your customers files so much? Just really bugs me.
  13. I just use sharepod. Means I can leave all my music as mp3s and it doesn't f**k around with the file name or properties like iTunes does.
  14. The problem with disc cleaner is that it removes any pad material built up on the rotor, effectively de-bedding in your brake. Putting water, or using something more abrasive like mud, and dragging the brake will speed up the bedding in process hopefully helping with the noise. If however the squeak is more of a honk you could have contaminated pads/rotors which requires a bit more effort to sort.
  15. Fixed. I'm pretty good to be fair. 'Career' sorted (reasonably well paid secure job that I enjoy where I'm basically my own boss), happily married with one healthy sprog here and want for nothing. It won't stop me playing the Euromillions but otherwise I can't complain. Edit: Mr Harrison- what do you do for a not career?
  16. Serves you right for using iTunes! That shit is super retarded Edit: How come shit isn't swear filtered?
  17. But if it's parked on the road the only way it'll cause a problem is if a police car fitted with ANPR spots it surely?
  18. Not worth the risk in my opinion. They'll last you right up until they snap and rip your ankle/calf apart when you come down from a drop/bunnyhop or whatever.
  19. Not always. I know in a lot of instances that comes into it but not always. Depends a lot on the type of job, industry etc. So come on, clerictgm, did you kill someone or steal £20?
  20. Mine arrived yesterday . Some awesome riding in there- you won't be disappointed!
  21. It doesn't need to be a trials shop. Track bikes (think velodrome) and gay fixies (if you have such things in Russia) would be another source for the parts.
  22. Unfortunately that's the same for all the big charities. They all have incredibly expensive central London offices employing hundreds of people doing who knows what. I'd love to see the actual percentage of donations that get to those who need it...
  23. I guess I just don't have the attention span to cope with all the BS. It just seemed like a 45 minute long Baz Luhrmann 'everybody's free to wear sunscreen' monologue...
  24. I simply don't have the patience to watch something like that... As said above- as a riding video it sucked. I tried fast forwarding through to find the riding but all that was pretty samey fast singletrack so I gave up. Very 'pretty' but not for me.
