  1. That's quite an odd choice. I would never use unsealed pedals if I could help it and for the price of DMR V8's you could get two sets of Wellgo V8 copies or almost a set of Wellgo MG1's which are Magnesium and sealed... I'm an MG1 convert big time these days. Would still run cheap caged pedals for pure natural but for anything else MG1's are the way to go.
  2. Any way of making the battery quick release so you can take it inside with you and throw it back in when you need to use the bike?
  3. I think you're wrong. I've seen first hand the lengths they go to improve performance by the tiniest of margins by technical advances.
  4. Make sure it looks like it's connected. If they see a plug with wires hanging out or a loose wire they'll probably fail it but if it looks right it's not something they'll actively check as far as I'm aware.
  5. I seriously doubt that. I'm sure they stretch what's legal (regs-wise not law) to the limit but it's just not worth the risk doing anything that's actually illegal/forbidden. That's not to say that they haven't dabbled in the past when it was the done thing but I would bet your other bollock that the guys you mention are 100% clean (again, just within the regs) at the moment and over the past good few years. They're at the top because of the massive investment in time, money and science that has been put into the team's success. When Team Sky was formed their goal was to have a Tour win in the following 3 or 4 years. I dread to think how many tens of millions were spent achieving that goal but they made it by treating the whole thing in the efficient, businesslike way that the likes of F1 teams use to get the most from their opportunities. It paid off. Similarly for the Olympics guys UK Sport spent countless millions on the run up to Beijing and again before London to ensure that when it mattered the team were on absolute top form on the best kit having investigated every possible potential advantage. Edit: But back on topic; Lance Armstrong is a cunt.
  6. To be honest that's not the time I'd expect the forks to break. Maybe with the front landing heavy but not without any direct impact. I would have expected them to go more from the likes of a hook/tap/gap to front or whatever.
  7. You're still beating Charlotte but that's not saying much. I'm shocked and appalled! Work that social media!
  8. It doesn't make them a bad person but it does possibly make them lazy and maybe a little retarded if they can't see the problems they're causing themselves.
  9. I would love that job. I'd consider having a set of scales at the entry to the queue system to separate the fatties into a separate line that I could deal with. Thinking about it that line could be on a travelator thing going the wrong way so they have to keep walking to remain stationary. That way they could be burning calories while waiting for me to charge them extra for being fat. I need to put this to Dragon's Den I think... In all seriousness though I don't have an issue with someone being obese until it starts affecting others. Aircraft/public transport is an obvious one but the drain on the benefits system for retards who eat themselves into a position where they can't leave their own home and need round the clock care is f**king ridiculous.
  10. What about flights though. I'm 11 stone and slim yet I am still only allowed the same baggage allowance as the fat b*****d weighing 30 stone crammed into the seat next to me. In my mind we should be weighed before boarding so they take that into account for baggage allowance and also fuel allowance. A plane full of fatty Americans won't have nearly the same range as the same plane full of Ethiopians and that's a scientific fact. Do the yanks pay more fuel duty? Nope. Should probably point out that although strong of opinion I've been 11 stone since I was about 16 with I guess well below 10% bodyfat but have never set foot in a gym and eat what I want. Metabolisms are wonderful things.
  11. If your shed is 8' then it's less than 2.5m and so is within the regs Rowan posted so not that odd really. It's not that surprising really since without these sort of regs people would take the piss and start building entire houses in their gardens and calling them outbuildings.
  12. Flat blade screwdriver tensioner screws? Seriously? Are they 1/4" Whitworth threads as well?!
  13. Only after telling everyone that Crazybike are rubbish and making a point of ripping them off for everything he can.
  14. So the manufacturers should be supplying them dry?...
  15. So long as we cleared that up .
  16. However, if someone were to give you one then it's ok to use it off road surely...? And those warnings on them that say you must not fit a baby car seat in them is more of friendly guidance than law, isn't it?
  17. Really? Did quite enjoy that one. Quite impressed at the random famous people they managed to get in for the most inane scenes. Also Lewis Hamilton is fast (but a bit of a cock).
  18. For some reason that should be impatient. Just for info As with Ali I've used plenty of no-brand bearings from places like simplybearings.co.uk and never had a problem. I think in industry with high loads or temperature then it's worth going for quality but on a bike I doubt there's any difference going for SKF over unbranded cheap ones.
  19. He's also bought lots of women's clothes though... the plot thickens.
  20. Christ, remind me never to bother asking for sponsorship on here you tight bastards!!
  21. Is the point of these posts not to include the advert in the main text?
