To be fair Maguras were never a trials brake, they were just adopted by us.
-
I would say they're not... For someone in the business you don't half spout some shite. Oh, wait, that's what bike shops are trained to do... vs. Slightly different IMO. From what I can see they're more likely to be Aerolites: http://fairwheelbikes.com/aerolite-titanium-pedals-p-1002.html With cleats that look like this:

Yup- they've never gone. Although the best variety of chocamallow has...

To be fair to him the amount of demos he must do for school kids and stuff, introducing the brands to a huge audience, must far, far outweigh the fact he's not pushing the limits of trials to the likes of us.

See I'd agree with Jeff Lenosky, Martyn Ashton, Hans Rey etc. but Ryan's always been an 'also ran' in my book, much like Martin Hawyes. Good riders but just nothing special. In the days of Revolution etc. I'd much rather watch Lenosky, Gregorowicz or Martin Kelivard than Ryan. I know he's contributed a lot to the bigger picture of trials but I still dislike his style!! I only do it in every thread because I've forgotten how much he makes me cringe when I watch his vids!

Not landing like a pile of crap from pretty much any height. See that does nothing for me either. Again landing like a sack of spuds doing nothing all that impressive. He's got excellent control and manual skills but overall I just don't rate him. Edit: That Ride to the Hills segment is definitely one of his better ones. I guess part of it is that good riders make things look effortless/easy whereas whenever I see him ride he makes everything look like a struggle even when it's only some backhops across small gaps.

I just don't like his riding... That video did absolutely nothing for me- not smooth, not impressive. Showed good control but that's about it. Would've been acceptable about 15 years ago but that was just... meh.

Hi Charlie, sorry I couldn't make it today but rest assured that I was wearing my FBM t-shirt! -
I don't think you need to worry about people getting the wrong impression about you.
-
lol
-
It really doesn't. Dave's a complete cock and that's the only plot here.
-
Lol. Sounds like classic Cytech advice... Just replace your chain with a KMC Z610HX or a ZH510HX depending on your setup. Having said that, what freewheel are you running? If it's something half decent stick with it for sure.
-
Lol.

Established middle class for the win.

Geometry is 1065, 360, +70, 73°, 660 reach according to Dave. Haven't measured anything myself.
-
I know and that's one of the reasons I got it but at the same time it makes me feel a little dirty having it on there...

And then squished it and changed it from ally to steel.

Before: After: I know, I know, it's got an Onza stem... I've been toying with the idea of getting a more hoppy frame for a while to mix it up a bit but the options out there for dual disk 24" are pretty limited so when Dave B (isitafox) got this 'temporary' frame while waiting for a replacement I started thinking... For a very reasonable sum, plus a cheap Onza stem I've got my hoppy bike and still have the Team frame to go back to if/when I fancy.

I say GENEVA, and you hear HELSINKI?!? 40 million f**king Deutsche Marks Bob!!
-
Same. At work we run a dual monitor system but with one in landscape and one in portrait and that occasionally catches me out when the cursor is stuck too low on the portrait one to make it across to the landscape!
-
How long does it take to get the mouse cursor from one end to the other? Also, if you pop out for a cuppa and forget where the cursor was, what's the longest it's taken you to track it down?! Seems crazy to me.

That's my educated guess . Edit: From a knowledgeable sounding dude on vintage-radio.net And from answers.yahoo:

Diagram time. Because the individual phases drive the individual stators (?) if you knock one out of the loop the motor should continue spinning (though possibly less smoothly than before) but with load it will be more likely to lose speed and stall.
-
Another guess here (I probably should know but don't) is that the remaining two phases continue to turn the motor at the same speed as it was before (assuming it's not under much load) but it would subsequently have less torque available and would be more likely to stall.
