  1. Or not. Better to take an educated guess than be a retarded f**kwit though.
  2. Lol, It's definitely squared off and low in the middle but I don't reckon the police would've been bothered if they'd pulled me. Need to get back in touch with Crescent today as I forgot to ask about the retest. Planning on just taking the bare wheel in to get the tyre fitted but then don't know if I need to return with the bike for the retest or whether they can do it without seeing the bike again.
  3. Awesome, awesome vid. Ali is just incredible- could watch his riding all day long!
  4. My ER6 failed it's MOT this morning but only on the rear tyre being just (if at all) on the illegal side. They've ordered the tyre in and should have it sorted by Monday.
  5. Not since changing the end can! I also tend to switch off almost immediately after stopping so never actually check! If the bike was overheating though I'd check that (and also the fuse for the fan as well, just in case).
  6. Have you checked that the fan is kicking in? That would be my first port of call I think- check connections and make sure it's actually kicking in when the engine's hot.
  7. It was a long, long time before I finally got a Hope hub on a trials bike but it's so solid and reliable I can't see me ever bothering with a FFW again (unless I ever got a mod again of course). They are good.
  8. But the point of bedding a freewheel in is to knock and burrs off the pawls and get the pawls to seat correctly in the drive ring. To do this you need to actually free-wheel around, that is roll at speed without pedalling. Pedalling continuously for 2 hours will do nothing to bed a freewheel in but coasting down a huuuuuge hill for 2 hours would, especially if you pedal at random intervals to ensure the pawls get a chance to fully engage properly and get themselves seated. Hope that makes sense. In other news, change to rear freewheel and buy a Hope Pro2 .
  9. There is a school of thought that thinks that's an alternative way to run an engine in... When I got my Kwak I did a partial 'hard run in' just for shits and giggles. Doubt it made any difference but there you go! Edit: But that doesn't go for trials hubs/freewheels. Soft break in is a must.
  10. It may have worked in a foreign country where nobody know's who you might be (or a foreigner going to Radfest/Tarty Days claiming to be someone famous) but the trials community is so small in the UK the concept was flawed from the beginning.
  11. You can actually see the frame flex... That's not good methinks. Edit: I know it's designed to flex but in my mind that's not a good idea with an aluminium frame. Design it right in composite or whatever and no worries but in something that is likely to fatigue and snap is bad news.
  12. Exactly. Someone said early 'everything breaks with time' but that doesn't have to be the case. I haven't broken a bike part in probably 5+ years. I wear things out and get bored so buy new stuff for the hell of it but things rarely break. Edit: Actually, I broke an ISIS BB axle at a demo probably 4 years ago. That's the last thing I can remember breaking.
  13. Obviously looks a bit cleaner without the saddle bag thing and the bottle but it's rather nice . SPD pedals as I run them on my Commencal and don't want another set of shoes to go with SPD-SL pedals.
  14. Ah sweet, cheers. I swear for a period it did it automatically for the likes of Youtube and Vimeo etc...
  15. Vimeo Video -> Original Video He has everything so dialed- impressive.
  16. Vimeo Video -> Original Video Dick for getting into the situation but quite cool otherwise.
  17. Yeah, grips and pedals might be in order when the time comes... would finish it off nicely
  18. It seems to be a bit marmite... some people like it, some hate it!
  19. I run about 30psi (like 2.1 bar) in my holy rollers and don't get many punctures. Maybe try a DH tube and a bit more pressure though.
  20. I think it's pretty clear that Dave's 'special'. Don't forget that as a tool (maker) he's used to working to micron tolerances so can obviously tell the difference. I can't understand why you wouldn't make your own though if it's that important...
  21. Why is this troll not banned? If you're going to do a character thing at least make it funny. I'm sure there are Northern sleggs having a hoot but this is just lame.
