You can see the guy on the white sports bike (at about 0:26) pulling in front of the Range Rover and casually brake checking him. You don't actually see contact but considering the closing speed I'd say it's pretty obvious they touched, although it doesn't look like the bike went down or anything.

I'm neither of those things (I don't think I'm trampy... could be wrong) and I wouldn't spend £100 on a pair of tyres.

It isn't clear what happened before the video starts as it seems something must've happened to make them have a go at the driver. Still proper mental though. Good job it didn't happen where everyone carries guns otherwise there'd probably be 20 dead.

Full story slowly coming out. Basically comes down to the squid bikers being wankers, causing a minor accident by brake testing him then him taking off in fear of his life when they started smacking the car and trying to open the door. He had his wife and 5 month old baby in the car apparently. Judging by the faggots in t-shirts and trainers I'd say the bikers were in the wrong the whole way and am ashamed to be associated with cunts like that.

Not necessarily. The theory is great- send all your waste for recycling and save energy and the planet. I'm sure in some instances it works nearly perfectly (things like metal, paper etc.) but it seems a lot of our 'recycling' just gets loaded on to container ships and sent half way round the world to be dumped elsewhere... TheCircus...

I guess it depends on what you're after in terms of handling. I bought mine new in 2006 and have done ~32k miles on it and will be honest that I haven't ridden many other bikes (TDR125>GS500>ER6) and although it is a budget bike, with non adjustable suspension etc. it's a really nice general purpose bike. I've occasionally thought about changing it but to be perfectly honest I would only be doing that for the sake of it. It's plenty fast enough for the roads, can be used daily without ever needing to worry about anything, still looks incredibly clean for a 7 year old bike that certainly isn't a dry day only bike and I just really like it still!

Was he really the chair of the Stoney council? If so that makes it far worse than your average ignorant numpty having a go!

You know what we were saying about aesthetics not being the be all and end all but that they can be very important especially for custom frame builders? Goes for design of frames and gussets as well as the look of the welds. I know you're doing this as a favour to the guy but if you're serious about maybe setting up as a frame builder the devil's in the detail.

I think the point here is that welding is something of an art and a good welder takes pride in the appearance of the finished work as well as the structural integrity. If you're going to set up a business making custom bike frames (particularly if you're charging reasonable money for them) then the finished product needs to be pretty good. I remember having a dig at an early Marino frame on OTN and was properly booted out of the discussion because I hadn't realised how cheaply he was pushing out the frames and accepted that if you're buying a custom frame for £140 then you can accept a lower finish quality. When JAF were posting pics of frames it was the paint finish that looked dodgy to me but I kept my mouth shut because everyone seemed to be raving about them and I didn't want to step on anyone's toes but the pictures posted in the thread are awful. Now whether that's because it was done in a rush or whether it was an early example I don't know but at the end of the day if I'd spent £300 or whatever on that frame I'd be sending it back because it looks like it was made in a shed by a school kid learning to weld. I know aesthetics aren't everything, but at the end of the day in custom frame building I think it counts for quite a lot. Not having a dig at you, just trying to put some context to the mob mentality that's been shown, particularly when JAF were being pushed as the next big thing (i.e. a new Leeson) and the whole Marino vs. JAF thing making it sound like he really knew his shit when if what's in this thread really was the standard being put out then something's wrong!

Totally agree with the issues about the length of the 'seatpost' (which is the same complaint as the Zoot; Onza why you no listen?) and can see what you mean about the front triangle although in my mind the aesthetic issue is the flaring where the toptube meets the seatpost. That one little detail makes it look like an OVERSIZED ALLOY FRAME!!!11! on a Halfords/Lidl £99 kids bike. Edit: Having said that about the flaring I guess that was a major weak point on the Zoot so you can understand them changing something to try and make this frame last. I don't see why this isn't going to be the 2015 Zoot Pro or something though- Woodstock is an odd choice.

Yeah, +1 on that- I've used various plastic ones but much prefer the idea of ones with a bit of a backbone! Currently got the Bike-It ones (although the ally's gone black since this pic):
