  1. Good stuff You won't be disappointed!
  2. You're only hiring it though. The final 'purchase' is at your and their discretion. You can just hand it back.
  3. Just a 3 bedroom semi with a garage etc. Certainly nothing special but I think we did kind of miss the first step of the property ladder and went straight for rung 2...
  4. My problem with month-month money is credit card bills. I always pay them off in full each month (I've got two- one Santander cashback one that I use for shopping and fuel and one Clydesdale one I use for online spending) and that value is obvioiusly different from month to month so I don't know exactly what's 'surplus' until after that goes out near the end of the month. I don't spend silly amounts and do save frequently but £1200 mortgage is a bit of a killer!
  5. I looked into using our cyclescheme thing to get a RIbble but the whole final value thing thing put me off and I decided that it wasn't worth the crap doing it through work so just bought it on 0% finance over 10 months direct from Ribble. I think the cycle scheme thing used to be far better value when the final value was a 'token gesture' type sum of £20-£50 or whatever but now they've closed that loophole the savings reduce a fair bit.
  6. Videos of those comps make me proper angry for some reason. I don't get why they don't put it high enough so that they can't touch the ground when doing cerrazy insanse stuntz. It just makes no sense to me that touching down on a regular basis is considered fine and the norm. It's like doing a world trials event where it doesn't matter if you put your foot down 20 times in a section so long as it's only for a split second... I just don't get it.
  7. I don't believe Mike Escamilla is still riding!
  8. Just to stay on topic, are you saying Ukrainians are killing kids or Russians are killing kids? Cos to be fair Russia is currently the dog shit on the bottom of the world's shoe it seems...
  9. Unfortunately I'm down I'm Weymouth this weekend so can't do it... Have a good one
  10. I use mine as much to get the wheel straight in the frame as to sort out chain tension. You can really dial it in (which also helps if you happen to be running discs too).
  11. I think MBUK musst use the TF tape measure...
  12. Is there not something in your contract about that? I'd watch your back for the next few weeks Mr C!
  13. I've got the Arcade frame kit built up with primarily Skye Mk1 parts and agree with all of that. I rode 'proper' trials demos on it at the weekend and wasn't far off what the other guys were doing on pogo sticks but it's also happy blasting round a pump track or at the skate park. I also got the frame kit from Free Flow and they were really good and if it's of any interest (pun intended) the 0% can be done on up to 36 months. I did 18 months on the frame kit just because I could. Out of interest where does the 15% discount come from?
  14. Or is it a post mount setup that doesn't give you enough lateral movement? If that's the case I'd probably stick some washers between the rotor and hub shell.
  15. For info the funeral will be on the 5th August at Portchester crematorium (South chapel) at 1230. Dress is smart casual. RIP Dan
  16. Blatantly not Jack posting due to the correct spelling and grammar (pretty much).
  17. Have you seen the stuff Dan Brooker puts on Facebook? He's got some serious patience!
  18. So clerict, thoughts on Vladimir Putin?
  19. Maybe it's a difference in apparent difficulty and how impressive something looks. Taking those two examples if someone had said to me 10 years ago 'you know what, in ten years someone will do a shove-it to wallride' I'd have been surprised that no-one's done it before and now I've seen it I'm pretty underwhelmed. Maybe it's the risk element? Seeing people that have the bottle (stupidity?) to do some of the stuff they're doing on BMX is crazy. The potential outcome if things go wrong when doing a 3-whip down a big stair set or doing a barspin to icepick down a big set or doing a double peg to front flip makes those moves (and therefore videos) far more impressive to watch than the skate world where things tend to be a fair bit 'tamer'. I know the risk of things going wrong and injury is probably far, far higher for skaters but it doesn't stop it from looking far less impressive (in my opinion!).
  20. Pretty much, yeah. Put it this way I don't think I've watched a single 'recent' skateboard video that's made the think 'what the hell, that can't even be possible' whereas in BMX I think that regularly (double peg to front flip, front flip down a set of stairs, crazy brakeless nose manuals etc.) or even trials (Danny Mac with his smack-your-front-wheel-into-a-signpost-front-flip or the Road Party vids). Skateboarding's just kinda stale in my book and has been for years. But then I'm probably wrong!
  21. Grip in the endless grey, wet, snowy Russian tundra?
  22. I'm sure that's not even possible! See the car thread for a list of appropriate words to use for your housemate.
