Nope. You're physically higher but it makes very little difference to basic balance etc. Your feet might be like a mod with a +146mm BB but remember the height of the bars. A mod with a +146mm bb would need to have a 250mm x 40 degree stem or whatever to make it possible to ride (which would make it fine to balance- though still horrible to ride!).

Giant Trance 1 27.5 isn't far off the spec and not much more than the Canyons and was also looking at the CannondaleTrigger 3 on Pauls but just don't like the frame design... Been thinking of updating my Meta for a while so have been looking around at what's out there. Grudgingly accepting that I'll probably go 650B and was looking at the Canyon range, possibly a Nerve AL 7.0. They look good and seem to be excellent value for money when you look at the specs. Any thoughts or experiences?

Fair enough :). I've given up on my cheapo cable dropper and am just running a normal post again for now. Can't warrant £175+ on a 'proper' one, especially if they go wrong every few months!
