  1. Was real good fun. Sorry for butting in on your quiet ride HarshRider but I had to break in the Rex you see... Good to see everyone again. Definately confirmed my suspicion that Andy P is inhuman. The boys got far too much power for his size and uses some form of anti-gravity device to increase his smoothness!! Dave
  2. We live next to the New Forest, there must be some stuff there that's accessible? Just go to Portland Fletch!
  3. It was raining fletch... (Y) Have fun at work!! Dave
  4. The frame is 68mm but for some stupid reason mine came with a 73. Dave
  5. Mine came with a 73mm BB direct from Supercycles (woo yeah, go Supercycles... (Y) ) and it seems ok...crank spacing is slightly asymmetric but meh! Dave
  6. Prawn makes everyone look shit! Big gay wheels it is then (Y) Dave
  7. What bike should I take?! I need a bike caddy so I can take them both! (Y) Dave
  8. lol, get it off your chest Fletch!! I'll be at the station at abouot 10.30 provided it's not raining...too hard Dave
  9. Just wondered. Also, does it have any correlation with handed/footedness? Meh, it's before 8, I have an exam in about an hour and I'm bored... Dave
  10. I've just had a look on the BBC's 5 day forecast and it says lovely sunshine on Sunday (Y). I'll definately be there, whatever happens. Not sure whether to break in the new King headset and mono trial on the Python, or try and get used to the T-Rex... we'll see! Dave
  11. I always used to keep my bike in my room in halls. We always had a heads-up when they were inspecting though, at which point it got locked up outside for half an hour. I remember my mate at St Andrews keeping his bike in his room but in several parts, so it was 'bike parts' rather than a bike. Some of the wardens are as bad as security guards though...wannabe Hitlers trying to make everyone else's life as miserable as theirs! Dave
  12. Oy!!! :) If I'm not riding Portland I'll be there (Y) Last exam's on Friday so this could be a reet good stress reliever! Dave
  13. Antifreeze does also increase the boiling point of water if memory serves me correctly... Dave
  14. I'm just going to stay out of this (N) (Sorry for the useless post) Dave
  15. I actually don't Fred!!! It's all pure skill (Y) Dave
  16. Yup, no idea where Taunton is but I'd make the effort to go there if there was somewhere proper to ride. Dave M
  17. I think the process went hacksaw to lenth, angle grind roughly to shape before filing and then sandpaper to finish. I Then got a mama adjustable spanner and bent the tip to thte right shape before using a round file and sand paper to get a nice smooth curve for my finger. Painted it up and Roberts my Father's Brother (Y) And yes, I have far to much free time on my hands " Dave
  18. My beast... Nothing special but then I'm not exactly great on it! Dragonfly Tech frame, profile cranks and blackjack chainwheel. Only interesting part is my brake (mag with evo mounts run upside down on U-brake bosses): and the lever which I hacked down a bit and bent back into shape: Dave
  19. I'm still waiting to be beaten up by a 'real' BMXer for this but I'm still running a magura on my BMX (Y) evo mounts run upside down fit straight onto U brake bosses and combined with a chrome rim, Bob's my uncle (Y). Running plenty of hose to allow for two complete barspins either way and have customised the lever blade by taking about 20mm off it and bent and ground the end back into shape. Perfick Dave
  20. Why thank you very much Mr Noyce! Look at the bike though! A real old school steel Monty X-Hydra. Loved that bike! Still got the frame up in Scotland (cracked!)
