  1. Has anyone got one of these BB's? Looks very good for the money. I take it they'll work with a front freewheel? Cheers, Dave
  2. Or maybe I won't be getting ZOO bars... Just got back from the Hampshire trial and the newer zoo 'riser' bars are nigh on flat. Think I'll be going for either Onza Carbon 28"'s or their alloy version cut down.
  3. Yeah I know but I'm not sponsored by Supercycles!
  4. Cool, cheers for that. Haven't heard that before for some reason. Reckon I'll be getting Zoo bars if Tarty can't get 28" carbons for me...
  5. I know I'm gonna feel really stupid when I get the answer but... what's TGS?
  6. Jebus, them's damn good results! Well done boys! Dave
  7. So what would you recommend? Bearing in mind the Zoot is a 24 aimed towards the odd bit of real trials as well as streety stuff?
  8. Hey dude, when people talk about risers they're talking about riser handlebars. Trials bars tend to be either flat or riser, the riser ones bending up between the stem and the grip area to give a bit of rise (hence the name!). Spacers are headset spacers which you put between the top of your headset and the stem to raise the whole stem/bar assembly up. As for your headset, I doubt there's any benefit from changing it other than to change the colour . Reckon mine will be going black when I get it... Dave
  9. Yep, OK, I've just looked at OBM's ENO topic in the FAQ's and the circlip only keeps the bearing in place. I've had mine apart a couple of times and have always got to the 'guts' by removing the bearing rather than just ripping the whole drive shell off. Sorry for doubting!
  10. I used to run Onza Carbon's on my T-Rex, then on my Adamant A1 and am now riding a Monty 221Pr and am using another set of them. Really nice bars and I love the feel. I've always used the 28" ones and am perfectly happy with the width but 30" is still perfectly acceptable.
  11. Sounds like ventricular ectopic beats... can be caused by stress among other things and are completely harmless in themselves but you should get it checked out by your GP just to be safe.
  12. On open bearing freewheels that's true- ACS, tensile etc but because the ENO uses sealed cartridge bearings, the bearings themselves are held in place by a circlip, and the lockring doesn't preload the mechanism or bearings at all. That's my take on the matter anyway.
  13. Hmm... That limits it to something like the System Ex or Simtra stems... Will be in touch soon Ads!! Dave
  14. Hey dude, I've just bought a zoot (well, it'll be on its way soon) and is pretty much stock atm. My plan is to change the cranks, BB, rear hub, front brake, bars and stem. I was looking at the FSA OS170 100mmx6deg stem and maybe the Onza Alloy risers cut down a bit... Can't wait
  15. Where did you post it? I searched in chit chat and didn't find anything. Soz.
  16. Don't expect too much ash... It'll never be as good as the Trials bit in Moto Racer 3... heheh
  17. Don't think I've seen this on here before but feel free to shoot me down, point fingers and laugh if it has... Trial Bike Ultra I've clearly been doing loads of work today... may keep you amused for a few minutes anyway.
  18. You also need a BIU license (although this may only be if you want to ride for points...). However, these don't cost anything and I expect Barry will let you ride provided you give him your details when signing on. Probably worth checking that before turning up though. Dave
  19. The pawls, bearings and mechanism are (should be) held in place with a circlip. I see the lock ring as a glorified nicely anodised dust shield! Clarification Ads?!
  20. The lockring on the eno doesn't have anything to do with the function of the mechanism though so it being loose shouldn't ever make it skip surely...
  21. That's just it though- it's a completely random pretty much unexplainable event but it does happen and has been observed and measured. I think...
  22. Why does nothing have to come from anywhere? An infinite space with nothing but the odd universe occasionally popping up! Regarding the dinosaur mass extinction/ crater thing... the craters exist although no one can prove which caused the extinction. Brief quote from some website: "The impact was so enormous it changed the shape of the earth's crust -- 22 miles below the surface of the planet. The Chicxulub crater is the first location where deformation at the base of the crust has been found in a terrestrial impact crater. The scientific team concluded that the Chicxulub crater is about 125 miles in diameter, and that 12,000 cubic miles of debris was blasted out of the earth by the impact. The impact carved out a cavity about 7.5 miles below sea level. Mount Everest, in comparison, is 5.5 miles high. Prior to this research, the size and morphology of the Chicxulub crater had been in dispute, with estimates of its diameter ranging between 180 and 300 kilometers." That's a big crater...
  23. The way I understand it (I think) is that scientists have sussed out that occasionally particles randomly appear out of nothing and disappear almost immediately. Pretty sure this has actually been observed. One idea is that the big bang was caused by two of these particles coming into existence in the same point in space and when one collapsed it basically started a massive nuclear explosion of matter which became the Universe. Basically there are theories about how it happened, not just a random excuse to replace the god theory...
  24. The whole point is that there's nothing in the blackness to see- it would be visible by either telescopes or x-ray telescopes etc. The sun isn't the only source of light out there... We can even 'see' black holes in the universe... Big. Bang. Theory. Touched on this earlier too- There's no reason to believe there aren't more universes (possibly an infinite number) beyond the edges of our universe. The void between them... well that's anybody's guess. Mine would be absolutely nothing.
