+1. Sounds like you were absolutely flying through the blue routes Ross... red all the way next time Was a really good day, sections were challenging with a good mix of big moves and tech stuff and the weather was just about perfect, especially considering the way the day started. Rode ok although section 4 took it's toll on my score. That and getting pretty royally whupped by Pooley... Also good to see some old/new faces like Ross and Jack too.

Really good vid again Joe. There's just something about your riding that makes it look fun... you know? Vids of just moves always seem really forced and there's no fun in them but when you ride it just looks like your having a laugh and enjoying what you're doing. That seems to have been lost in trials over the past while, only being kept alive by the 'old guard'. Anyway, yeah, I like. Have a badger

Absolute freakin' monster Thomas... as always. Very very impressive riding- as I said in the other thread all the best with the new sponsor

Is this mainly for comp type riding and natural Nath?

Hi Joe, as briefly mentioned before, any chance of including some sexy HF tubing on the Limey 20"?
-
Ahaha, someone better take some pictures... there's like 2 inches of snow out there and it's still coming down!! See y'all there

Yeah saw this earlier on OTN- was expecting a post in the News section somewhere. Good luck to Thomas and hopefully we might even see him at some comps this year!

Seriously, get over this 360 fettish. That's obviously not what people are expecting. -

That's not true, the majority of posts in this thread go along the lines of 'frickin' hell you're a complete monster Danny, them sidehops were huuuuuggggeeee, but it woulda been kewl to see some different stuff mixed in bruv'. Also, if someone only points out one bad thing about the vid (moves, editting, whatever) that doesn't immediately mean that they thought that the entire video, encompassing everything else not mentioned, was shit. You have to read between the lines I guess and take the constructive criticism into account the next time around to try and please more of the people more of the time if you know what I mean. -

Why? Because people have expressed their opinion? Topics regularly erupt into arguments on here, especially where there's a conflict of interest between TGS/the rest is concerned. Seems to have been brought to a head with the tuckage thread over the past few weeks but you seriously shouldn't take it to heart. Thing is, for every member on here saying that they don't like what you're doing I bet there's 3 or 4 who are loving it (whether they posted in here or not). I don't necessarily agree with that but, as I said before, TGS is far more accessible to most people and is what get's the most attention on here. What's been posted in here is (mainly) constructive criticism, and it would be wrong to post a vid expecting everyone to love it without question in order to elevate your ego to the status of a trials god. I'd be disappointed if you didn't bother filming your riding anymore, especially if this topic was the reason. Keep riding so long as you enjoy it, film it if you want and accept criticism if people don't necessarily like what you produce. It's inevitable. Oh, and buy a belt -
Is this what TRA will be riding now?

If you typed the post on a computer (guessing you did) then you did have a calculator... not that you should need one for that anyhoo . Sorry, back on topic. I'd have thought that technically 0.99 recurring doesn't equal (i.e. ≠) 1, however it approximates to (very closely) therefore you would just replace the = with a squiggly = sign: 0.999... ≈ 1. Or maybe it should be a 'tends to' since the 0.999 stretches to infinity but never reaches it therefore 0.999... → 1. Edit: Anyone know the proper name for a squiggly equals?... You'd think maybe four years of aerospace engineering and 3 years of a postgrad in aerodynamics would teach you that sort of thing but aparently not

It was in last years Kontest winner's vid I think and also in the 'out of section' mototrials freestyle vid. I think. I take it it's an unwritten rule that entrants must be riding a Koxx to stand a chance...? The vid (talking 'Poison' here) was ok, not bad riding but nothing special, music didn't really work for me but the editing was quite good, liked the intro/exity bits. Edit: Ok so I think Quackers might've watched last years winning vid rather than the Poison vid...

The previous silly topic was asking which was bigger, 3/32" (= 0.09375" or 2.38128mm) or 1/8" (= 0.125" or 3.175mm) in reference to chains...

... sorry, made me giggle! You've got some serious power there Danny- all good stuff However... to say that this is what trials is (was it Kearns that said that?) is wrong- as Mat Smith said, it's what trials has become to some people. In my head trials will always be about messing around in the woods and on rocks- street and the evolution thereof into TGS is simply a more accessible version of 'real' trials. Anyway, so long as you enjoy what your doing I have no issues whatsoever with any kind of riding. All the best fella. -
Damnit, why can't I find a picture of 'Bianca' from Eastenders in that pink tracksuit...? Ah well, Vicky'll have to do... girls in pink...

Also with skateboarding, it's your rear foot that needs to be most coordinated I guess which makes it odd to have your weak foot at the back. I guess I started skateboarding when I was about 7 so it was more likely just the way I stepped onto the board the first time without ever considering goofy/regular...

They're the same ones that are used on chainrings on 'proper' bikes aren't they? Some fine M10 or something...

Edit: Ash editted the question.

Video Kontest Koxx 2008 #1 : Aurél’ By Nico’

I'm with Inur and Rowan... He's obviously an incredibly talented rider but the video was just a bit... meh. Beacause of his skill he makes everything look easy but nothing there seemed to push him at all. Ah well. -
That's just weird though
