  1. It could be done (possibly without even changing the axle-just run a load of washers/spacers) but you wouldn't really want to. 1) A singlespeed 135 hub has much wider flange spacing resulting in a far stronger wheel build than that hub would give. 2) Those hubs have unsealed cup and cone bearings. 3) It'd more than likely result in a really poor chainline. You'd be much better getting something like this... or any of the Echo/Gu/Adamant ones which are reduced to £45.
  2. Nice pics Andy, cheers for posting them Oh yeah, and of course... 'taps are for girls' Any chance of getting a high res version of that one of me? Me likey!
  3. I must be made of thermosetting plastic... It'll tan by Monday I reckon
  4. I've been running my champagne rims for about 18 months now and they're still as good as they were the day they came on my 221Pr. And believe me, they've been properly used and abused in that time... On the topic of the 220 Kamel- that's what I've been waiting for, no way I'd pay what Monty want for the 221 but this should be a perfect replacement for the Pr as my comp bike.
  5. Really?... think I'll do that then. (Sorry, no malice there at all, just couldn't resist!)
  6. Just an observation but how many of those spokes were already gone before the rim split? Looks like the whole back wheel was a shed mess... Sorry, that was offensive to sheds.
  7. Was good fun peeps... seem to be slightly sunburnt on my shoulders... sorry- plastic subdermal implants Look forward to seeing some pics Edit: Ok, make that quite badly sunburnt across my shoulders...
  8. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
  9. Yup, that worked . Afraid I won't be able to make it- didn't get an entry and totally slipped my mind that it was happening. Hope everyone has a good day. flashearth link
  10. He probably doesn't know himself... or care more to the point. And that's the way it should be.
  11. Because they're pointless wastes of space... like this one. That or when arguments break out... or someone mentions 'sidehops'... Edit: beaten to it.
  12. Loving the custom paintjob on the forks/bars/tensioner! Both bikes look sweet although that Ben's is a bit special, especially with the white highlights.
  13. Hehe, I was running a dual disc Echo EM2 in 2001/2002 until about 2004 I think... Went rear maggy for a while then went stock before finally coming back to a dual disc Monty at the end of 2006. For natural particularly it rocks
  14. Oh god, best not to got there... just leave it for the good of us all
  15. Eep... sorry Tomm... missed your post
  16. That's just a photoshopped photograph... isn't it? With the stats, map and arrow above the guy across the street added...
  17. Might come play for a bit. Haven't ridden soton for a while.
  18. Back to his hotel a couple of miles away... And that thing in the canyon was really cringeworthy- how hard can it be if the cameraman is soloing it behind him? It's almost as over dramatised as Ben Fogles 'Extreme Dreams'. Aweful. Quite amusing.
  19. Why the weird 9x16 aspect ratio? Last time I looked neither my computer or TV can be stood on their end and made to display video's in that format. Haven't tried though so could be wrong. Kind of agree with Cookyboy though.
  20. Ok, after a little digging I can confirm that if you're running anything over about 11T (which use the one piece driver) the sprocket just sits on a splined cassette body. So yeah, you should be able to just unbolt the locknut thing that's keeping the cog on and slide it off to replace with the 15T. Instructions here.
