  1. It'd be doable on mod or mod stock with a LHD BMX hub but the question is why bother? Is there any need to do it in trials? I don't think there is unless you're going to start grinding ledges and stuff...
  2. Why the blue bits? They make me Black cranks and bash would've looked sooo much better IMO. That stem's an interesting choice too! 18:14 should be fine- I'm currently using 18:13 on my Inspired though and really like it.
  3. Hmm, ok. Hadn't seen anything about that. Still doesn't make sense. Why did no-one ever ask what he was doing in the cellar all the time? And his wife must've realised he was doing something when he was excavating the bomb shelter to turn it into a mini house... all to weird for me.
  4. The kidnap thing just doesn't add up though. He fathered 7 children with his daughter. One died. 6 left. 3 were kept in the cellar with their mother. That means that on three occasions he emerged from his cellar with babies or small children... and his wife never asked herself 'hold on a minute, I don't remember being pregnant for the past 9 months... where the f@#* did that come from?!'. It's an impossible thing to pull off without everyone in the house twigging to what was going on. Or his neighbours for that matter. The whole thing stinks worse than the McCann's story.
  5. If you mean this or this then no. They only accept the splined fixed cogs. To run any kind of freewheel on a fixed hub it needs to be threaded to accept one, and then you're kinda limited to what gearing you can run.
  6. ...June and July. Interesting seeing as he's accepting preorders on the next batch of MkII 24UK's until May 15th. Typo in the auto-response email?
  7. I know, I only just thought of it the other day and don't know if Mike was actually getting at that in the first place. No one's answered why Supercycles needs to go in the first place though... In the words of me: 'if it ain't broke don't rename it to something apparently universally hated and cheesy.'
  8. I don't get it. Rock'n'Roll Cycles is set to replace Supercycles isn't it, not Onza. www.supercycles.co.uk already exists and you already own it... I'm clearly missing something. Sorry Mike.
  9. Really just depends on how much you want to spend. To me a headset will always be a 'disposable' part- They are just cups and bearings and for that I don't like paying loads when something costing £20 will do the job perfectly for a few years by which time I'll change the frame and just get a new one. First thing, King's aren't steel. They're available in steel (and titanium for the ultra bling) but the standard NoThreadSet in the pretty colours are all alloy. King's are brilliantly made bits of kit, but for to machined cups and a set of bearings at the end of the day you're primarily paying for the name. I got one for 'free' (insurance claim), but sold it with my python frame as it was green and bought a C2 instead. Couldnt tell the difference in function. For me pigs are also just too overbuilt. I used to run one in my BMX and it's a good, solid piece... but for trials that's just overkill. I've used a Cane Creek C2 in the past and found it perfectly usable- very light and functional and am currently using an FSA Orbit Equipe on my Inspired which at £22 is bargainous for what seems to be a really well put together, solid headset. Your call at the end of the day... if you're after 'quality', don't forget the Tensile and Hope units, although both seem to have quite a big stack height also.
  10. I don't think that's really an option though... As Anthony says, as it stands now the official BIU comps in the UK must be run by the BIU rules in order to allow riders to 'qualify' for International BIU comps. The only way round that would be for the organisers to request that the UK comps are allowed to run with split classes with the agreement of the BIU. I don't see why they wouldn't agree to that either... probably worth an ask
  11. I got some wheels built 'back in the day' by CRC and didn't have any major problems with them I don't think... although they were Sun Mammoth rims so pretty damn burly to begin with!
  12. Why does the name need changing anyway? I like Supercycles...
  13. Good job mate . Riding was sweet, editting and music was spot on as usual. Perfic'!! Have a badger
  14. Did you really design that?! I thought sewage plants would be pretty standardised things that are all pretty similar. Good job though
  15. Haha, that's true... but aren't Rohloff chains like £35? I'd rather pay £6 every few months on a KMC than £35 maybe every 6 months as I'd still want to change it regularly!
  16. But how long do you tend to run them for? I run KMC K810's on both my trials bikes (and used to run a K710 on my BMX) and have never had one snap. However, because I like my teeth the way they are, I always change my chain at least every 6 months, generally every 3-4 months probably. Overkill I know but it's better to be safe than sorry kids . Oh yeah, and I'd never run a KHE because, although in theory stronger than a KMC, the appear to be a bit, well, pants as far as design and function goes.
  17. Agree big time. Supercycles is/was fine (super = good, cycles = descriptive)... Rock'n'Roll, although to a few who will get the rock=trials, roll=wheels link, the majority of people will just see a cheesy title with reference to a genre of music. Just consider it before going all out with a big expensive launch...
  18. Cool. I thought that's who you meant but couldn't tell if it was John Evans who built it...
  19. Adam's pretty much best in the business. End of.
  20. Club's still going strong, round three is actually this Sunday (4th) and is being held up near Petersfield. More details can be found on the new HBTC website .
  21. Currently running Easton EA30's- High rise OS in a Simtra ReSyStem stem on my Inspired. Setup seems really nice- bike bunnyhops like a beast but doesn't feel too cramped for sidehops and proper trialsy stuff.
  22. Don't speak too soon... he (not it!) definitely has Tank's hairline though.
