  1. Tensioner's a modified 74kingz. There are some pictures somewhere in the 'homemade tensioner' thread. Edit: Pretty sure it's similar to AliC's:
  2. Chill fella. Dude. Seriously. Christ, I feel like the damn Spelling Bee!!
  3. Looks like they're pretty much identical to me... probably made in the same factory from the same material. Choose the one with the right geometry for you. I've only used the Echo and it did a grand job of holding my bars to my fork via a metal tube .
  4. In what way is (or can) the wheelbase of a 20" modified?! Because 26" bikes are supposed to be mountain bikes, with gears and seats and stuff. Only modifications that used to be carried out really were the addition of a bashring (bashguards being against the rules in competitions). 20" bikes have always been allowed to use funny sized rim sizes (19" on the rear), be singlespeed, use proper bash guards etc hence being 'modified' and therefore 'mods.' Hans Rey still rides what I'd call a proper mountainbike/26" trials bike. He runs like a 16" frame with suspension forks and the only trials modification he uses is a bashring.
  5. Lol at MSN's choice of picture of the little glamourised epileptic (keep 'em coming Bongo!)
  6. Do you go to the same school as Timmmmmeeeeeee by any chance?
  7. Sounds like a totally BS case... Surely if the bars were faulty the buck stops at the bar manufacturer. What are the importers supposed to do? X-ray every bike and component they sell and carry out strict metallurgical tests to ensure nothing ever breaks in the lifetime of the bicycle? Impossible. I'm sure all bikes come with stickers and instructions ensuring the rider knows that bikes are inherently dangerous and any failure due to 'mistreatment' (which can usually be taken as riding off a kerb) is the responsibility of the rider and not of the manufacturer (or of course retailer).
  8. Don't know about your brake (kind of gave up trying to read the post to be honest) but I'd like to shoot your English teacher.
  9. A few, but even putting the bike in the car you'd end up cutting yourself on those. All the need is to stick a bit of a rad on the 'teeth' to make it a little less lethal looking. And it'd even save a bit of weight!
  10. Not sure I'm reading you correctly, but if I am... top of the range simply means that they are the top of the range out of the Onza/Tensile cranks available. They are not claiming that Tensiles are superior (or inferior for that matter) to any other cranks available from any manufacturer.
  11. Dunno but they look frickin' nasty! Screw catching one of those on any exposed skin! Or having the bike fall on you in the event of a bail...
  12. Which says an aweful lot about the sort of people who ride fixies I'd say...
  13. Think you need stronger fingers then.
  14. I'd say the fact he's World number 8 in UCI says something for his real trials ability and precision...
  15. Couldn't have put it better myself! And +1 to Paul Potts- it wasn't even his act itself (which was incredible) but the fact he was such a nice, retiring guy who just seemed to deserve so much more in life.
  16. 1.40m... that's over 55"! (click the smilie). Trials-Forum Video ->Full View • Download • Upload
  17. Just stumbled across this vid on Youtube... Shows Rick Koekoek (who's just been signed up by Trialtech and I'd never heard of before Dave's 'news' post...) messing around in a gym and sidehopping (easily) over a bar at 1.40m (over 55"). Looks like he makes it with ease. Crazy. Trials-Forum Video ->Full View • Download • Upload
  18. Yup, I decided a while back that I was 'one of them'.
  19. Ok, I'll give you that! The hognesiums were used when I used to ride natural and everything on the Rex. I'm sticking to smoother street on the Inspired and can't fault the MG's.
  20. Not really, and never to excess, well, not in the last 10 years. I don't like the taste of alcohol and don't like drunk people so tend to not bother with drink. Not against having the odd cider (quite like the taste for some reason) and maybe once a year I might get a bit tipsy but never drunk.
  21. Word. Although I'm not sure I can take anything you say seriously now I know you don't own a TV...
  22. I dunno, I wouldn't use anything else but VPs on my comp bike... I never used to get on with platforms but am really liking my MG-1's on the Inspired. Just ripped the pins out of my old hognesiums though when I ran them on my T-Rex.
