You sure it's not the bearing's moving slightly in the hub shell? If the axle snapped and you didn't notice straight away, you might've distorted the hub shell slightly meaning the bearings aren't 100% seated correctly.

Plus the 26" versions weigh about 2kg each...

Says the BMXer who would probably use a drilled titanium belt-buckle if only Federal would produce one... BMXers are just as bad as trials riders surely?!

Can I ask why? Is it just because they're common as muck?() Or because they look like a 'proper' bike and not 'trialsy' enough or what? Not being sarcastic or anything, just genuinely would like to know.

If you still want to play with gearing I've had a look and have cassette cogs in 12,13,14,15,16,17T at least so give me a shout if you want to change .

Do you see what you've done wrong there John? You took some of the components off before painting. Can't be classed as ghetto unless the whole thing is poorly painted including bars/stem/tyres etc... Looks like fun!!

I'm running some on my Inspired no and they seem to be fine. Good bite, kinda noisy and work much better than my old Onza Citrus's.

What are you running at the moment? I have some random cassette cogs kicking about which may be of use but they're all standard thin ones rather than wide based trialsy ones... Don't think I'm gonna be able to come tonight- GF's asked me to come down to Corfe Castle camping to help set up for a Duke of Edinburgh expeditiony thing. Will see what I can do.

What gear are you running at the back? Might be worth dropping a tooth so you can remove a link from the chain... that's what I did on the 24"- felt weird to start with but soon got used to it. Reckon it might need a spray though Andy... The blood red's cool but they were all that colour so I reckon go for something a little different. Catch you later fella.

How the hell did you get glass in your rim tape?!

Try sending them direct to Venhill with a covering letter and see what they say. Seeing as 99% of magura rim brakes are used by trials riders they must have some experience with dealing with failures. Don't expect miracles but it can't hurt to ask.

What rear hub's that? Having to run a lot of spacers to get the caliper in the right place from the looks of it?
