  1. Pretty sure scammers aren't actually interested in anything in the listing...
  2. Yes. But you'd then be right back to the problems described in this thread of a brake that will need to be set up really close to the rim and wouldn't work with a slightly buckled wheel.
  3. I've always thought you're a bit of a hellraiser, Rowan. To be fair, those are both reasonable questions that I've been asked many times while riding or doing demo's. Without any idea about trials, they'll have no inkling how expensive the bikes are and why would someone associate TartyBikes with what you're doing? It's not like the website reads www.buystrangebouncybikeswithnoseatshere.co.uk...
  4. Not gonna mention the 'K' word. The disc side dropout look like a bit of a bodge- 'Better stick a gusset there'. 'Nope, still cracks'. 'Howabout another one there?'. 'Nope, still cracks'. 'Better add another one there'. 'Bugger, we've run out of places to put gussets'. That, along with the rather basic looking dropout itself doesn't do much for me. Rest of the frame looks reasonable, though it's a dead ringer for the K... or is it the R...
  5. 1) That would be in the Winter Olympics. 2) We (read Scotland) rock at Curling.
  6. Lol at the Kiribati team... all three of them.
  7. Go down to your local Hellfrauds with the cranks and ask to borrow theirs. Tends to work best if you actually know someone that works there but they're usually fairly good about those sorts of things.
  8. If that were the case, you'd have a transaction shown in your Paypal account with a 'status: held' or similar. If there's nothing there, he ain't paid.

Clearly what you really meant was 'Kamel '. Sorry Fred, had to be done .
  10. I take it your Paypal account hasn't been credited? If so scam scam scam... report him and get in touch with eBay.
  11. I thought that but I've already destroyed this hub enough so decided better of mentioning it earlier...
  12. Track down Danny Mac... he seems to ride Edinburger fairly regularly.
  13. If you're gonna quote Anchorman in your signature, please quote correctly .
  14. A little more violent than that... "Until 1814, the full punishment for the crime of treason was to be hanged, drawn and quartered in that the condemned prisoner would be: 1. Dragged on a hurdle (a wooden frame) to the place of execution. (This is one possible meaning of drawn.) 2. Hanged by the neck for a short time or until almost dead (hanged). 3. Disembowelled and emasculated and the genitalia and entrails burned before the condemned's eyes. (Another meaning of drawn.) 4. Beheaded and the body divided into four parts (quartered)." 5. The five parts (the head and four 'quarters') were then displayed to the public on pikes to show the consequences of treason. Combine that with a savage (though probably brief) raping from Fat Pants prior to all that and it's a pretty nasty way to go.
  15. See that's the thing, I want to like them. Nicely machined and well thought out components would be good to see, but they're not giving me much to work with!!
  16. Nooooooo to the front tyre!! Also, your front rotor looks like it's on backwards. Looks really good otherwise . You know what would finish it off nicely? An Inspired seat and post combo! Not that there's anything wrong with that rather dashing Pashley seat of course... To Ben: Front tyre is a Maxxis Hookworm.
  17. Almost certain the hex would have to be on the inside.
  18. To be honest, I didn't read much by choice when I was a bit younger. We did read books in school though which seems to be a sadly alien concept these days... However, I have started to read a lot more, possibly starting when I read the first few Harry Potters (). I'm quite selective in what I read though, tending towards motorcycle travel books and the like. Also read the Phillip Pullman 'His Dark Materials' trilogy, Lee Child's 'Jack Reacher' novels and stuff like that. I'm definitely a book reading convert now though.
  19. Hehe, I can see the headlines in the NOTW now... Txttlk causes war, famine, obesity, islamic extremists, herpes... Inside: Peter and Katie enjoy snakepit sex sesh.
  20. Explains a lot . It's not really lazy though- they're actually typing an extra letter when they spell it wrong. Maybe we just have a high population of secret French speakers in our midst... I do use the Firefox spell checker thing quite a lot, if only to highlight typos.
  21. I want to like HEN products, I really do, but everything I've seen appears to have been poorly thought out and nothing special. As an example off the top of my head, and one of the first products that was 'released' in here, the headset which uses a caphead bolt sticking out of the topcap rather than being counterbored or using a countersunk bolt to make it look as it should. Really basic, easy to do things that they just don't seem to 'get'. The one thing they've done that looks right is the Magura TPA replacement but you can't really go wrong with that!! Edit: actually, I like the idea of the sprocket with integrated spanner flats but they don't seem to have made it to production. Also love the product masses correct to 6 decimal places, copied straight from the CAD package...
