  1. Tim, there's only one person here who's marketing anything...
  2. Which quickly becomes an issue the second you try and put your now saggy cranks on a new BB and they creak like buggery. For something that would be so easy to avoid at the design stage. Ah well.
  3. Yup . Can I quickly ask why, in the above picture, does the stopper ring (or crank-stop) not extend into the flute of the spline at all? I thought the ISIS standard accommodated for this by ensuring that the ring goes about half way along the radiused end section of the flute. From the looks of the Moe BB it will royally rape your cranks the first time you put them on making them as saggy as a saggy thing. Figure 1
  4. All looks pretty good, the only thing I'd question is the rear hub (strength of freehub and engagements). Apart from that the only other thing I can see is that you'll need a shim to use the Macneil post in the Inspired frame. I *think* I may have one in the garage though if you get stuck.
  5. That may be the case on the face of things but Trialtech have improved on the other available BB's by providing both steel rings instead of the gash aluminium ones and also the option of a thicker (stronger) axle at no extra cost. Win, win.
  6. Bit extreme... even when cogs have dug in like crazy, a bit of shock tactics with a hammer has always worked for me...
  7. Guessing you'll need a chain whip and cassette tool. hold freehub still with the whip and unscrew the cassette lockring. Everything will then just slide off.

Haha, my thinking was just that if the were cut from plate you'd be able to arrange the parts to be cut in such a way to minimise the wasted material (which will still be able to be melted down and recycled of course but it won't be the Bionic factory who see the benefits of what can be recycled but rather how much waste they leave) while allowing you to make maybe 100 dropouts from one sheet at a time, whereas using individual billets and taking the time to individually CNC them as they appear to have done just seems daft. If you're going to CNC a component you may as well make some nice little lightening pockets or whatever in it. As it is the finished product look like the dropouts have just been cut from plate anyway so why bother CNCing in the first place? Meh.
  9. You don't think that *maybe* it was 'scripted'?
  10. I've just had a chat with Dave@Trialtech and the Trialtech BB's now all come with a steel stopper ring between the axle and the crank arm which means it won't deform and crush like so many other brands which use soft aluminium ones. So yeah, Trialtech all the way for more reasons than just because!!

Can I just say: What a complete waste of material! Why the hell are they CNCing those dropouts from billet when they could simply be laser cut or water jet cut or whatever from simple plate? Just seems silly to me...
  12. Just in case anyone gets the wrong end of the stick (although I've never met Danny myself (I don't think...)) all the 'selling drugs to kids' comments are meant 100% in jest. From what I gather he's as sound as an incredibly sound, down to earth thing.
  13. He's not looking to buy (I don't think)- he's after advice on a new wheel. To be honest, I think you'll be lucky to get anything that great for your budget new- probably unsealed hub which are often a bit of an arse. Monty rear wheel. Your only other bet is to have a look on eBay or get validated and sort something out in the for sale section of this site.
  14. Wear a helmet, kids... Sounds like a pretty harsh off but hopefully he's in good hands and with time his body will repair itself. Amazes me that in a country where there is no NHS extreme sports people can't even get insurance. Crazy. Hope he gets better soon, cheers for posting John.
  15. LMAO ROFL lol you sshlleeeggg! LMAO. Anyway... back on topic, is lobster dog purely a T-F thing or is it a world wide fad from months ago, like Rick Rolling?
  16. I'm *pretty* sure that's not a lobster... Don't quote me on that though. Not sure what 80kg of blu-tac looks like, but I'd imagine you could fashion most of the cast of Star Wars (as dogs) with it.
  17. To make a lobster dog out of it? Would look something like this, only blue.
  18. There are currently 3 topics on the first page in NMC about tar and grinds. Come on people, seriously, get your act together please.
  19. Learn to drive already!!
  20. Fair enough. Lee, you use funny capital letters
  21. Chill fella, was just checking for confirmation from Ben as he's a mate and got in touch with me before to see if I knew you.
