  1. I may not know much about computers but that sounds really cheap. Like so cheap I'm surprised everyone doesn't have a copy just in case they fancy learning to use it. £192+P&P? Bargainous. Edit: [/sarcasm]
  2. I have no real opinion on the subject. Us scots actually know remarkably little about computers...
  3. Nothing a Dremel couldn't deal with...
  4. I say booooo. Where are the Kamel stickers Andy, where are the stickers?!!
  5. There's a difference between a ban and a suspension that seems to be being missed here though. A ban is only enforced (so I understand) after numerous warnings/suspensions and the person continues to persist. It seems like a lot of mods will give a suspension along with a warn just to let the person know they mean business.
  6. I give money monthly to both UNICEF and Riders for Health as they both seem to do a lot of good for people who have very little. However I know a lot of people don't like sending money to charities outside of the UK in which case I'd go for something like RNLI or the local air rescue service.
  7. I thought insurance had to come with a 14 day 'cooling off period' whereby you can cancel within the first two weeks and only pay the cancellation fee and time on cover or whatnot?
  8. It's also not normal anymore to allow fully comp drivers to drive someone elses car 3rd party. Often you have to be over 25 and even then it's not always included. Mainly because it was supposed to be for emergencies only but people were abusing the system.
  9. You can get it off using Windows Movie Maker but you'll need either firewire or usb or whatever to connect the camera to the PC in the first place.
  10. It's plastic (well, Delrin) and doesn't run on bearings, just an aluminium ring which sits on the cassette body and acts as a sort of bush between the Delrin part and the body. Only benefit major benefit over standard spacers are the groove in it for the chain to sit in to ensure it doesn't catch on the cogs. Still think it's a pretty poo alternative to a freecoaster hub though.
  11. Am I the only one who thinks that's a really rubbish idea? Looks fine provided after you finish pedaling into the move you change gear (oh, wait...) and then when you want to put some power back through the cranks you then need to start pedaling forwards (while still traveling backwards) again to change gear again (oh, wait...). Think I must be missing something.
  12. Come along and have a giggle. You may as well enter and see how you get on. Because it's the last one of the year, your best bet would be to give Terry Graves a ring and ask if it's ok to compete without an ACU license. He's usually quite good about these things (well, he is El Presidente!) and will definitely sort you out. I shall be there, should be good fun.
  13. You had a good weekend my friend!! Wicked stuff- so when's the backflip on street going to come out then?!
  14. Lolz at me gardening in the background of one shot . Edit: Really nice vid- you've got so much control Ross, really solid riding. Good job .
  15. Having just met Danny for the second time (apparently- the first time was about 7 years ago) and ridden with him today I can honestly say that the title of this video is 100% accurate. The guy is simply on another level both in his riding mentality and in his absurd riding ability. He just looks at things and sees lines that no one else has ever even considered and is taking street trials to a totally new place. Stupidly good rider and stupidly nice bloke!
  16. I think they'd probably arrest me for being an evil racist Westerner Infidel... But it's ok, I won't forget 'the signal'.
  17. Well oil's now down at $70 a barrel compared with over $125 not too long ago... Papa Manual reckoned it'd bottom out at about $50 a pop so there's still a chance it will go down a bit more.
  18. You don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting it off with just a chainwhip. If you need to resuse the cog wrap some chain round it (as McBen said) and stick it in a vice. Leave the tyre on for extra purchase and with a lot of force it'll come off.
  19. Yup I'd guess that's about 19p per litre. I hate you. Asda are supposed to be doing fuel for 99.9 too...
