  1. He doesn't seem to be physically able to play the top 3 odd strings though... anyway, BOTI?
  2. Extra rotational mass? I've never run any kind of 'slime' or sealant but then I also don't tend to get too many punctures either.
  3. Went out for a play in Poole today to make the most of the great weather and Andy Green from NBR Cycles took some pretty sweet shots... Gap down from the bin. Gap to post. X-Up old skoolness . Rail ride... the less said about which the better. Christ I need to practice balance beams... Wall ride at the train station. Bunnyhop out of the subway ramp over the bollard. Comments welcome .
  4. Could you post a pic of it running in a bike with a rear disc please?
  5. I was thinking it didn't sound quite like a post by Dan... but could easily be wrong. If the 'new management' are actually looking to take over Trials-UK rather than, as speculated, that means administration, we're back to an X-Street type situation. Once customer confidence has gone they'll be hard pushed to make an honest go of it again without a complete rebranding and a lot of hard work.
  6. I've had no first hand contact with them but from what I've seen the general quality and workmanship isn't great (kinda rough dropouts etc, a little iffy welding etc) but for a hand made, unique, custom geo frame for such a low price you can't really go wrong. Would be worth a shot in my mind...
  7. And I've just been in contact with Matt and Dan from 'Rogue Traders' too. No way we're gonna let cowboy Dan away with this...
  8. Bowler Wildcat. Ford RS200. Yummy.
  9. Don't get one if you want to do trials on it.
  10. Quite a lot. But even so it makes no difference. Do you think that if TartyBikes sponsored Kenny Belaey or Thomas Oehler (just for example) that it wouldn't promote the image of the company inside the UK as well? You wouldn't only expect to see extra sales from Belgium or Austria surely?
  11. I'm testament to that . It tends to be a little more physical and a lot rougher than that, so I've heard...
  12. No plug on the toptube? Also the clearance between the seatstay bridge/end of the toptube to tyre seems to be really tight on that first one (even with a pretty dead tyre), and with the wheel fully forward would it take a new, large volume tyre or is it just the angle the photo's been taken at? Also, I'm not convinced that you're going to be able to tension the chain sufficiently by hand as it stands, and with the chain in the way it could be kinda awkward to do. Otherwise look really nicely finished and pretty well thought out. Too low for my liking but then that's modern frames for you!
  13. If you'd said that to start with I wouldn't have argued!
  14. "Trialsin was federated in 1981." Also here. So yeah, that was 28 years ago, call it a year of messing around on bikes before turning it into an official sport and you've got yourself 'about the same' as your 30 years of BMX.
  15. And at only ~£60 a rim truly bargainous!
  16. I've been running them for a good few months now and can't fault them in the slightest. I love the one piece steerer and they're really stiff and seem really strong too.
  17. Some pretty amazing stuff there, as you say. Haven't seen anything quite like that before, so much power and control.
  18. No, he means the biiiiiiig gap that there are pics of Kenny doing near the Tate- there's one low level and one from right up top by the road. Kenny did it then Jack did it. Monster!
  19. *Shakes fist at Dave for getting my hopes up* From what I've heard I think the term 'off the hook' is going to come into play when it's released...
  20. Hi, I'm on the blue Inspired with white forks wearing a camo piss pot. That's me on the far left in 'Gather', in the black and white '20090301_trialsday_46' one and I'm with Jack in 'South Bank'. Really nice pics though . Edit: That's also my front wheel on the right of the 'danny gap sequence' shot- I think I apologised to you for being in the way!
  21. To be fair, on any rail ride when you feel it's going wrong you jump off to the side and keep the bike with you and in that respect it's no different. However, it's if you lose the front wheel without notice and... yeah you wouldn't catch me doing that that high up! When's this video going to be out then?! Going to be stupidly good .
  22. Woo! I made it into three and not a single one am I riding! :$
  23. It's not really natural ability though, is it? Road cycling is basically 100% down to fitness which is basically 100% down to training, hard work and single mindedness. In your club event Chris beat you (and I imagine everyone else?) by a long way. In the Olympic cycling events the finishes can be literally hundredths of a second apart and in such circumstances every possible advantage available becomes very important. You wouldn't believe the amount of time, effort and money thrown at the British Cycling team by UK sport on Computational Fluid Dynamics and wind tunnel testing to develop not only the bikes themselves but the riding position, helmet design and clothing worn by the athletes. We're talking hundreds of thousands if not millions. And that's just for the aerodynamics. I imagine just as much if not more is spent on the training regime and diet research to enable them to perform at the absolute peak of their abilities. Of course it also helps if you're built like a brick outhouse like Hoy...
