Yup. Don't know it for certain but it really wouldn't surprise me if Ben tells them how it should be done. Whether he's suited up with the helmet on or whether they just sign a confidentiality agreement or whatever is another matter. Of minor note is that on this weeks 5th gear one of the presenters gets taught to ride some mototrials by Dougie Lampkin. Not exactly ground breaking considering VBH did it last year but could be amusing nonetheless.

They've gotta be. However, are you sure those are the right things for the hub you've bought? Just in case it's a BMX one with a single piece 9T driver or something that's died which obviously won't be compatible with what you've linked to. Edit: Are they the same and what you need?!

No, the black one was Perry McCarthy, probably with the occasional replacement when he was unavailable. Ben's been the white one for the vast majority of shows, and the Top Gear Live shows etc.

The normal Stig is not Schumi. No doubt he was driving the FXX for that lap but the normal Stig is Ben Collins. .

Weight = mass x gravitational constant. You're given the weight in air (in Newtons I presume) and you know the acceleration due to gravity (~9.81ms^-2) so you can work out the mass. From the weight in water you can work out the volume of the object because the difference between the weight in water and the weight in air is due to the buoyancy (weight of water displaced). From there (I think) you should have the mass and the volume and since Mass = density x volume. You can work out the density. Or something like that...

Cheers for the comments guys, I know a couple of lines could've been done smoother but for capturing the whole lot in about two hours on Friday evening, while dodging gangs of annoying teenagers I think we did alright . Thought so! Makes sense .

Looks really nice, good job! How are the welds/quality up close? Only thing I'd change is the pedal colour, apart from that it's nigh on perfect!

I think the fact he used to ride in the world indoor and outdoor championships proves that he's pretty damn good at 'proper' trials and it's great to see someone pushing things forward like he is. Seems a little reckless at times and I agree that a lot of it is just wall rides but it's still pretty freakin' cool to watch. Just wondering how long it'll be before some local council/police squad use his videos as evidence against him though...

Say what now?

I have no idea what you're talking about.* *I may know what he's talking about.

Also, considering the GHz is effectively still in production (albeit in orange with tweaked (?) geometry and without the seat) it's not really old school is it?

Enough said. From what Scott's said before they're all cheating bastards over there! As for the ethics, in a friendly club trials you'd expect (most) riders top accept the 5 and correct the observer, however when riding's your living and sponsors are expecting results I can see why some cheating Spaniards would carry on in that situation. Did I mention the Spaniards cheating?

Pashley's are all about the 26 MHz. GHz's are far too modern. I reckon they should consider reintroducing the MHz...

Could someone read this to me please? 'Cos I don't see SIMPLE...

Approximately 22t front with an 18t rear for stock, 27t front with 18t rear for mod.

You were saying that backhopping in a circle isn't as impressive, difficult or cool as 270 whipping a hip. How dare you, how very dare you!

Hey, wow there now... Just don't forget where you are Mr Westlake!!

Comp wise it's up to the club for local trials. The Hampshire series have put 20" and 26" together this year and I'm riding my Inspired in the same class with no problems. I imagine it would be the same for other club trials but at National level you'd probably have to ride 'out of class' due to 24" not fitting into any of the official categories.

I take it the headtube's supposed to be ring reinforced like Onza's? Looks pretty sweet Chai .
