I was speaking to a student today who's moving out to Texas to work. He was telling me about how the local basketball stadium (as in seats a few thousand) has been turned into a 'church'. Everyone who attends is basically pressured into donating 10% of their earnings to the church. Even the kids will give 10% of their pocket money to them! On Sundays they run something stupid like 6 services to accomodate everyone who wants(?!) to attend. It really is one of the most retarded things I've ever heard. The people who run the church must be literally rolling in money! As L Ron Hubbard "You wanta make real money, you gotta start a religion!". I don't suppose you can expect much more from people who don't teach evolution in schools and can carry concealed guns with them if they fancy...

I dremeled my lever after it had a ~9mm crack in it and it's been fine for 18 months now. It's easiest to completely remove the superfluous lumps of metal that the cracks start in- put a nice big rad on that, including removing the crack itself and you're laughing.

Wish you'd pointed that out before I went and bought a Trialtech half guard!... Hadn't considered that!

Yes. I used to ride mod and basically always wore shorts to avoid destroying trousers but since running front freewheel on stocks and now 24" with a bashring it's only happened maybe twice in about 5 years.

I've had good ones and bad ones- the quality just isn't there compared to the 'proper' trials freewheels. I finally gave up on claws when one lasted me a week. If you can afford something better go for it but the ACS should still do it's job fairly well if you need to keep to a budget.

Not sure how these'll go down with the proper XC types on here but I got a set of Suntour Epicon's for my bike last year and I've been really pleased with them. 1.8kg, 100mm travel, remote lockout, air shocks with rebound adjust for £145... worth a look anyway! Link.

Which t-pro is it? The browny/greeny ones were anodised which will alter what you need to do.

I despise fisherman. I grew up in an area where all the rich people were chavvy fisherman who effectively rape the seas. They see themselves as 'farmers of the sea' but they put absolutely nothing back. Farmers break their backs ensuring good crops and sustainability in their land and stocks- with fisherman it's just take take take and it makes me really angry. Other things that make me mad are retarded Japanese who continue whaling under stupid 'research' banners and Chinese who think that the hands of Gorilla's etc have magical properties...

I seem to have missed the bit where me paying £1500 a year council tax doesn't pay for them to collect my god damn bins... it's like having road tax but also making every road a toll road. If this goes ahead the only thing that'll happen is that fly tipping cases will go through the roof and the countryside will turn into one huge pile of crap.
