  1. I still think the bolt broke due to the bikethrowingness.
  2. This has nothing to do with the damage or whatever- this is about the fact that we currently get 99% of our energy from a finite resource which is rapidly running out and what we can do to replace that energy source. Now do I get a Rover V8 or something else? Ideally I'd love a car with a V8 based on two Hayabusa engines or similar but I don't think you'd get the same vibe or sound from something like that...
  3. Sooo... did the bolt snap when you landed or when you threw the bike? Can't quite tell if it's just your bars moving when you land rather than the bolt snapping. Meh Oh yeah- throwing bikes is so stupid. I've been riding for over 13 years and have never thrown my bike. Chucked it down on the ground at a comp before but nowhere where I might break anything. [/bandwagon]
  4. Nope, just Magura using a stupid design (when used for trials anyway) which results in a major stress raiser at the corner. I ground mine after it started cracking and ran it for another 2 years without any further issues- smoothing that region really does work.
  5. Understood, but seeing as this is quickly turning into a general 'what Android Apps are worth installing' thread I thought it worth pointing out that killers being pointless isn't always the case .
  6. That may be the case for Android 2.2 phones but 2.1 (which a lot of Wildfire's are still running) do suffer from unnecessary apps draining the battery. I'm still on 2.1 and Advanced Task Killer is a godsend!
  7. Abduction! Angry Birds Amazon Kindle if you like reading Amazon Barcode Barcode Scanner Cardio Trainer (sounds stupid but can be used as a bike computer/route tracker which is quite cool for XC rides) Dolphin Browser eBay Evernote Facebook Google Sky Map Google Maps Out of Milk RAC Traffic RealCalc Shopper
  8. I'm sorry If it's any consolation, while ordering I felt like I was cheating on my girlfriend...
  9. I got the Flux today and think I'm going to stick with it over the Hex. The hex does feel very comfortable and fits well but there's just something about it which I don't like so it's going back. Just for the record, I would've got the Flux from the Tarty boys but they didn't have the 'Military' colourway.
  10. What's the difference between using Tapatalk and the standard mobile version of the site which already exists?
  11. Have you ordered a Flux? Cheapest I found was Winstanleys which didn't show up on Google shopping searches.
  12. While we're on chains... Master links- yay or nay? Talking about the reusable ones with spring clip type thing: I used to use them, never had a failure but was convinced that they were evil so have always joined them properly since. However, the Fourplay Team came with a correct length chain so I 'had' to use the master link thing. What's the consensus?!
  13. Surely that's an orangutan?...
  14. I received a Hex yesterday but am not quite convinced by the look so ordered a Flux last night... Will try them both and decide which to send back after the Flux arrives! I do like the Xen but, as Matt says, they're just a bit too expensive. Matt, it's interesting that the Hex doesn't fit you yet the Xen does- I always thought manufacturers had similar fitting across their range but maybe not!
  15. Yeah, if you file it it will just leak and you'll need to replace it. At the absolute most polish it with T-cut or similar before lubing.
  16. I wasn't convinced by the Tech levers when they were released but now I've got them on the Inspired I really like the added precision it gives your setup. If you can afford them, go for it!
  17. I'm not embarrassed to say it but I have a clutch problem . Coming from ~13 years of push bike trials I still pull the clutch as if it's the rear brake to bring the front down, it works but I know it's wrong... Need to train myself to use the rear brake more methinks.
  18. Well there's a positive outlook if ever I heard it!
