  1. Are you sure it's not a scratch?!
  2. Success within the small mountainbiking world in which he was (in my opinion) massively outshone by Martyn... Which kinda, dare I say it, sums up his trials career. I honestly don't think he'd have done nearly as much or been nearly as 'popular' if his name hadn't been Martin or if he simply hadn't hooked up with Martyn.
  3. Spark eroding is easy and really cheap... well, it is when you know someone who knows someone and work at a university! M8 tap snapped deep inside my motorbike front axle and they did an excellent job of it and all for a bag of doughnuts!
  4. I've never, to my knowledge, had the 'manual dream' however I did have the 'fakie nose roll' dream the other night where I finally got them dialled!
  5. I'm missing the bit describing how it would piss her off or have any effect on your mate. If they've sold the house it's the new owners and the dad who you'll be screwing over surely... It would be their solicitor not doing his job if he didn't sus out and clearly explain access limitations imposed due to your land ownership...
  6. Update/change your browser?
  7. I got that first time but you have to stop counting at the right point! If you start counting at 9 o'clock you have to stop at the one before 3 o'clock to get the right answer.
  8. As Johnny said, you count the number of spokes. You only need to be able to see half of one flange to sus it out.
  9. Fair do's. It was also known as the Sinister for a while wasn't it?
  10. I thought it was an F T W (Frank The Welder) frame.
  11. I can see a new line in CNC'd titanium spears (drilled for lightness of course) with carbon shafts coming soon. I wonder if Tartyspears.co.uk has already been registered...
  12. I'd set up a global corporation selling spears to people like Ali.
  13. Sorry Ali! It was a recent documentary I watched (on Channel 4 maybe?) whereby one of the 'academic' conspiracyists was stating how he'd written a paper about the 'thermite' content of a couple of samples he'd analysed and how the fact that no other academics had shot him down or rebutted his paper meant that it must be true. They then asked a couple of (Swedish?) scientists for their opinion who said that their analysis showed that the 'thermite' may in fact just be primer. They also said that the reason no one has challenged the first dude's paper was most likely because people have far more important things to spend their time on... I'm all for a good conspiracy and certainly think there are a lot of unanswered questions about 9/11 but the problem is that the full on crazy conspiracyists just take it too far and ruin their own arguments by not considering any alternative and assuming that everything about everything must've been a massive government orchestrated coverup.
  14. Which some specialists and scientists have also studied and decided could well be paint primer...
  15. I started with the Trialtech Sport sprung tensioner and then got a cheap Rohloff tensioner and both have been spot on, couldn't fault either. I'm still running the Rohloff with the pin as well and haven't had any issues.
  16. Mortgage about £1150 a month, but actually paying £1300 to overpay a bit. (We kinda missed the 'first rung of the ladder' and went straight for a fairly big 3 bed semi with garage, gardens and stuff). Gas and Electric just increased to £65 a month (Gas central heating and hobs, electric oven). Was £45 a month which seemed like not enough so we'll see how things pan out over winter Council tax £164 a month (for 10 months... is that right?) Water about £13 a month, sewage about £20 a month I think Phone and internet about £25 a month.
  17. Saw it the other day and must say it was quite a let down. Surely he wasn't happy with that attempt?...
  18. The mass of air in a tire doesn't really add to the mass of the bike though... the air particles don't just sit at the bottom pressing against the lower surface due to gravity.
  19. Where were you for the first two years?
