  1. Ali: Thought so! Nevermind, as you were I just think on a £2300 bike, dripping with Hope bling, for the sake of maybe £6 (trade price for grip doctors?) per bike, it would be worthwhile as a nice finishing touch... but then I'm incredibly anal. Oo er...
  2. Who is they? There used to be one but it had such a small following I think it just ended up too much work to continue. Trials is too small to make it worth anyone's while. An online magazine would work but then sites like this and Tribalzine have kinda got it covered with breaking news and stuff anyway.
  3. Can you have words with Dave next time you speak to him to get Hope to throw in some bar ends for the bikes please? The whole thing is absolutely top end and lush as you like... except those horrid plain plastic bar ends! I couldn't stand them on the Team so got some Grip Doctors and they finish the bike off loverly. Am I just incredibly anal?
  4. It'll probably be fine for stuff like that but don't expect it to last long as far as hubs, BB etc. are concerned, especially if it is left outside or is exposed to the elements lots. For that much you can't really go far wrong though. Even if you resell it in a couple of months you could probably ask for like $50-$75.
  5. Pretty bad I'd say. Depends what you want it for and how it'll be treated and maintained.
  6. What an awesome idea. On a different note, I honestly don't understand how you (Ryan) can't see how you're the one causing all of this hassle (time and time again). Your attitude on here is shite, not anyone elses. Refund this guy, grow the f**k up and if possible please never use T-F again. It's incredibly disappointing that people like you are asked to represent big companies such as Onza (though I think that arrangement has actually ended now hasn't it?). You give a bad name to trials with your attitude and you can't even see it.
  7. The 'Disputes' section has at least three threads of him buggering people about so you're not alone...
  8. Inside the headtube I believe.
  9. Also run CCleaner and Eusing Registry Cleaner. If it's still running poorly after that (and it's understandable when the HDD is fairly full) have a look in the Program Files folder and sus out where the storage is being used (unless it's in your documents by videos and pictures of course). The other thing to do is open up task manager and see if anything is using up lots of memory or CPU.
  10. Why does Sean run a full cassette when he's got the mech locked out and running it singlespeed?...
  11. Did that result in his death? Christ... brakeless?! I can justt imagine the bike looping out massively on landing after extending to make the landing.
  12. I think they're mistaking gimmicks for progress and smart thinking.
  13. Not really. The crown race needs to sit snugly on the steerer which can only happen at the crown of the fork.
  14. As Steve Parrish has said, I wonder if Rossi will consider taking this opportunity to retire... Colin Edwards as well for that matter.
  15. I think a small community like trials deserves to know who they are buying from, particularly if there is a degree of deception involved to try and hide who is really selling the goods. Dan f**ked over way too many people without any sign of remorse in the past and I sure as hell wouldn't ever buy anything from him or someone acting for him. Do spill, Ali.
  16. You could compare his season with that of Lewis Hamilton's, but he was so much more of a happy, fun loving guy he always added something to the mix. He'd reigned it back in a little towards the latter part of the season and was really looking good (third last weekend in Oz). A real loss of a rider just coming into his prime.
  17. Ah, fair enough- the rendering fooled me! Are you planning to try a carbon downtube/toptube to see how it goes?
  18. It'll only need be stock carbon tube (I assume). The expensive bit will be the metal parts!
  19. The carbon looking tubes are carbon tubes, the machined looking (orange) bits are metal (aluminium or welded steel I'm not sure). Following on from that, how tricky is it get it all straight and aligned? Without a jig it must be an interesting problem! Can I ask what sort of weight the final proto has ended up at?
