  1. 3:39 is the exact technique I learned back in the day (having watched Martyn in slo-mo about a hundred times!) and which I still use to good effect today. He goes in too fast but starting good foot down then giving 3/4 pedal stroke with all the power coming in the final little kick is pure win.
  2. It's not taking the piss because it's basically their choice to be lazy. You're using a computer which can very easily be configured to include spell-checkers that highlight mistakes and give you the options of what you actually wanted to say. It's not rocket science. It also has nothing to do with belittling anyone because at the end of the day being able to form proper sentences, having attention to detail etc. will help in real situations like applying for jobs or whatever. Sure it may be a bit anal for a biketrials forum made up primarily of teenagers but (apart from being in the guidelines) most people do make an effort and being lazy when posting means that people are less likely to be helpful and will not respond in the way you hope. I actually think this side of things may actually help people more in the long run than just telling someone how to join a chain or set bar angle... Really? I didn't even notice
  3. Can people please learn to spell sponsor/sponsored/sponsorship?!
  4. You could go in slower and take off later. It looks like you're almost having to pedal gap up rather than putting all your effort into gaining height. Just a bit of constructive advice really!
  5. It also helps to key the surface too to get it down into the paint. Saying that, the finish is a really thick, baked on powdercoat finish so will take some work to remove for sure!
  6. Nut type axles will usually be stronger (since they'll be steel) but appear on cheaper, heavier hubs, particularly with cup and cone bearings. Allen screw hubs will be lighter and generally nicer to work with as you only need an allen key rather than big ol' spanners. Really?
  7. I doubt they'll fit the Gusset through bolt though...
  8. So you've actually done it?! You've just spent £2300 on a bike and the first thing you do is ruin the finish that identifies it as the sig edition- respect!!
  9. I was going to say that the frame weight would depend on the altitude and location on the planet at which the measurements were made, and that would be right... except that it's the mass which Onza have included on the frame . Edit: I think we need to start including tolerances on these frame decals Joe. 1090±1, +70±0.5, 380±0.5, 72±0.2 WEIGHT 1.46±0.056 would be far more acceptable Edit 2: Actually, on a serious note, what sort of tolerances are frames in general built to, geometry wise? Obviously mass can vary slightly depending on lots of factors but lengths and angles wise what sort of range do you expect?
  10. Yeah, we're usually the ones getting in the way of motorists and pissing them off rather than us being in any danger...
  11. Sum() gives the sum of whatever cells are indicated within the brackets. As it was written in your post each cell was giving the sum of a single number. If you needed the sum of everything in column A you'd select a new cell and put =sum(a2:a10) or whatever and the cell would then give you the total of the numbers in those 9 cells added together.
  12. You want a scatter plot, not a line graph.
  13. You can if you look hard enough. Well, actually, you don't have to look very hard at all. Are they being 'officially' released? I thought Rowling was dead set against ebooks.
  14. Pi needs to be input as Pi() What's the SUM doing there? Surely the SUM needs to be added at the bottom of the column it you want to total the individual forces. Adding it for each row like that won't do anything will it? Edit: Don't forget to check the units required for D. I'm guessing metres.
  15. And they're really quite good, provided you like reading of course. Got my wife one for Xmas last year and she's never without it. Had a couple of issues with it freezing and stuff but their customer service is really really good. Probably second only to Tarty!
  16. The thing with Vettel is that I'm not sure we ever see him fully on the edge. The fact he can usually pull out a fastest lap on the final lap of a race without trying too hard is slightly worrying. Obviously the car helps but he seems to (unfortunately) have an incredible natural speed and knowledge of how hard he can push 'safely' while still blitzing everyone. I'd love to see another proper race like the Merc won that Senna one back in 1984. Fairly 'normal' cars, all identical, over a reasonable race distance (none of this 2 lap ROC stuff). Invite some of the yanks over from the US series so the F1 boys can piss all over them and see what happens.
  17. Sounds like the clamp may have slipped. Take the chain off the front (or remove the wheel) to get the tension off it, loosen the 4mm allen bolt on the clamp and rotate it back a bit (while keeping the chainline correct) before nipping it back up and resetting the wheel/chain.
  18. Put them all in the same car and...? Will never happen but would love to see it.
  19. Just because Joe's a Senior Member doesn't mean he knows how to spell necessary...
