  1. Really? The only expensive Tesco tubes I've come across are the 700c ones for some reason. I use the 24" and 26"s and they've always been around the £2 mark.
  2. Well according to his Facebook he's in the UK and doing demo's and stuff so should be able to make contact... He does seem to be very busy lots of the time so it seems you do have to bear with him sometimes.
  3. Fair do's, just looked a bit like the prison side of Portland. Ah yes, Wheal Kitty... that is something of a trek! Ah well!
  4. I use Tesco tubes (24", £1.97 at last check I think) and run 30-35psi and only occasionally pinch (2.4" Holy Rollers). What tyres you running? Options I can see are: slime tubes or slime to seal the tube once pinched (not sure how well that works with trials pinches as opposed to thorns etc.), running tyres with thicker sidewalls (Kenda blue grooves may be heavy but you can run them at about 10psi and still not pinch), running fatboy DH tubes or at a push running a second tube, slit around it's internal surface, wrapped over the new tube to try and increase protection (with a bit of talc thrown in for good measure). Riding more good would definitely help though .
  5. Tethering is when you use your phone's data network and WiFi capability to provide the interwebz to other devices like laptops, tablets etc. To stop people taking the piss with usage (and to make it clear on the rules) GiffGaff operate a no tethering policy on their mobile sims.I do it occasionally and haven't had any problems but am sensible when using the WiFi hotspot on my phone.
  6. I don't get how they know if you're using the phone (occasionally) as a WiFi hotspot... do it occasionally with GiffGaff on my HTC Wildfire and haven't had any comeback from them yet. Is it just extreme usage that would flag it up or do they actually interrogate the data flow to see if people are connecting to Microsoft Update or whatnot on their Android phone/iPhone?
  7. Onza Fly Guy forks, I'd go with Sun Mammoth rims, DMR Moto Digger tyres, X-Lite saddle? Frame looks steel and not very trialsy, not sure about much else.
  8. If you mean the crown race isn't fully seated it could be. How much room is there between the top of the fork steerer and the top of the stem? Just to be sure you're not just tightening the top cap onto the steerer rather than taking up slack in the headset.
  9. Do this but have a look at GiffGaff. £10 a month 'GoodyBag' (not a contract so not locked into anything) gives 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet. Can't fault them.
  10. Luca Di Montezemelo says no...
  11. Surprisingly entertaining race and a fantastic result!! Also get a really warm fuzzy feeling inside watching Alonso go backwards down the field In other news- Jenson Button... wtf? And finally in other, other news, glad to have found an alternative way to view the live race rather than waiting for the BBC highlights.
  12. When I saw the Youtube still I actually thought he'd done it in the Jim'll fix it suit he once did a video in!
  13. Such a nice white tracksuit they're making everyone wear. Where do I get me one?!
  14. Says the guy who paid £250 to paint his Limey! People in glass houses...
  15. At what point does a base jump become a sky dive? Does a skydive have to start from a non fixed position such as a chopper or aircraft?
  16. Ah, so it's powdercoating we're talking about is it? Or spraying like you said in the first post?! More money than sense some might say .
  17. That's crazy. Each to their own but I don't think I'd pay £50 for a frame to be powdercoated let alone £250.
  18. Good call. http://www.mtbr.com/cat/tires-and-wheels/hub/gusset/dozen-150/prd_366047_127crx.aspx
  19. Pass. Can't find it on that nicksimports.se site, or the free-coaster.com site it's hosted by. Looks like a 12mm through axle though so not sure how useful it'll be on a normal trials bike.
  20. You exaggerate so much! "Full frame-£35 Handlebars-£15 Forks-£20 Wheels-£30 Cranks/Pedal arms-£15 Pedals-£10" Anyhoo... is he using rattlecans in his shed? Proper professional spray gear in a booth? Oven? 2 pack paint? Powdercoating?
  21. Sad news indeed. Without going into too much detail, is there anything that the rest of us could learn from what happened? Did the truck driver not see him or was he not able to stop in time for the junction? Thoughts are with his family and friends.
