  2. danny, Best thing for thick hair thats out of control, in my own experience, is elvive smooth intense shampoo (the orange one). It smooths your hair and it also have anti-frizz in it too. So you wont need use your frizz-ease anymore That stuff made my hair almost as straight as when i use straightners, you should definately invest in some matey. 17. When you first move to a stock from a mod, everything feels completely different and weird. In a few hours it all starts feeling natural. Its like everything, you have to get used to something when it's new. Mod-Stock have there advantages, for example, no Derailleur or mech hanger to break, yet, there's only a limited amount of hubs that can be used. Now, if you went for Stock, as in 135mm spaced hubs, there's a massive range of hubs out there to choose from, it would seem, the Hope Pro II Trials is by far the best value for money, with the majority of the stock trials scene running them, they can't be half bad. There's also the Chris King hub, which is also massivly used in the Bike-Trials scene. Both of which, can be purchased at Tartybikes. As for bike reccomendations. Once again we have the decision of high bb or low bb. With you currently been a mod rider, a high BB stock might be to your advantage. I am also a mod rider myself and the majority of High BB stocks i have ridden, they pretty much feel like big mods. I would suggest for the low bb frame to choose a Echo control, it seriously has to be the best low bb frame i have ridden. I'm not normally a fan of any low bb stocks to be honest, but these are something special, they just feel so comfy to ride. Once again, Tartybikes is your place for purchase. High bb frame. I can recomend a few. First up is the 2008 GU TP, this frame really does just feel like a big mod, had so much fun riding one of these, didn't want to put it down after haha. Tartybikes For purchase. Also not a very common frame but is amazingly nice to ride is the Echo Hifi. With a friend purchasing one of these not long ago, we built it up not knowing what to expect with not seeing many reviews on these, nor seeing many riders with them on group rides. So we got it built and went out for a little while and my god, so flicky, front wheel gaps are amazing on it, gaps and sidehops were all so easy. These are also currently on sale at SelectBikes. So have a read of each frame and have a good think about you want before making any decisions Any questions, feel free to ask Tom.
  18. Depending on your price range you have a few options, there are various, different frames avaliable. Now, I have only just got back into riding after 2 years, in which time, the trials scene has changed alot, however, with the trials scene round my area being quite good, I have ridden numerous stock frames/bikes. It all depends on whether you want high bb or low bb. From personal expirience, I've found low BB bikes generally tap, manual and static flat gap better, overall the bike feels more stiff and not as flicky as the high bb range. The high bb also have there advantages, they sidehop really really well due to the front end been really high, hooks and front wheel gaps are also alot easier, the bike doesn't feel as stiff as a low bb bike, but is alot more flicky. For the low bb, I would definatly recomend the Echo control, which can be brought from Tartybikes. Having ridden my friends one of these, it's probably the nicest riding low bb stock i have ridden, taps really easy, flat gaps are also not a problem. The high bb side of things would have to be the GU TP 2008, rode one of these bikes on a group ride and it just felt so damn flicky and easy to ride, sidehops were just so easy, it was as though you floated up the wall without any effort, it was good, but strange. Front wheel gaps were also really easy, due to the high front end. As for hooks, i can't comment because I can't hook. Once again, these are avaliable from Tartybikes. Just take your time and have a good think about what you want dude. Tom.
  19. Hello I really get annoyed when people, who know nothing about trials tell you that you need oil on your brakes. I think to myself: "Yeah, lets put oil on my brakes, give it a good rub in and do a big 20ft drop gap!" It is not going to happen is it! Also, when middle aged, bald men come over and start taking pictures on their VGA Camera phone. Then they tell me that they are going to show it their wife when they get home. Maybe they are just interested, but it is all the time. Another one that really winds me up is when you get people shouting from pub windows. The main things they say are; "Do a back flip!" and "You need a seat on that!" I suppose the best thing to do is just ignore them, they don't know anything. Tom
  20. Hello I had one of those phones, although everything was fine with my phone, i have read a lot of reviews that there has been many faults with it. For example, split keys, photos and music deleting, phone calls cutting off and the phone freezing. None of these faults occurred with my phone though and you get a 2 year warranty with it anyway. I have also read that sony have now fixed many of these problems, but i guess it is a chance of pot luck as to whether you get one that works. Tom
  21. Hello, My name is Tom. I have not long started up trials again after two years. I am not really sure why i stopped. Starting to get use to my python 05 again. Danny Kearns, my mate, posted a picture of my bike a couple of weeks back. I should be posting a video on here soon, hopefully. I will be going Leicester this saturday, so whoever is going, i will see you there. Thanks Tom
