  1. I'll only ever use U6 alloy forks. After breaking so many 7005 alu forks I am impressed with how much riding my Urbans have taken even though they are lighter. The new Hi-Fi forks look even better :(
  2. Bikes with light wheels feel awesome (N). Its alot easier to get the wheels moving and as such the bike feels more manouverable, more responsive and just generally more fun to ride. I'm gonna try out a tubeless system, then I can run lighter tyres without the worry of pinch flats B)
  3. I never knew so much went on :P. Sounds like I missed out on loads :shifty:
  4. Mememememe I'm going >_< Don't think Steve or any of my friends are going so I'm looking for some fun people to tag along with. Anybody who is up for good times, sillyness, lots of drinking and poor attempts at trying to pull :- Can't wait >_<
  5. Why do you always seem intent in stating what everybody already knows? :) You can manual any bike as well :( I agree with the street revival we need some more vids. Street is still alive its just not quite the same since trialskings.com died :)
  6. To be fair, if the comp is on a hillside like Bracken then pushing your bike around all day takes a lot of energy. The rule is there for a reason, its really not a big issue. Life is full of rules, deal with it. If you don't want to enter a competition because of a few fair rules then your being silly. Comps are great experience, will make you a much better rider and are good fun. As for all the handbags, Wayne has admitted he was wrong and said he won't do it again so why carry on about it? Everbody makes mistakes at some point. Also Wayne has a lot more respect for organisers and riders than some comp riders...
  7. I've snapped 2 stems, not fun. I've not heard of anybody snapping Onza carbon bars either? I certainly don't think they are weak anyway? I'm sure somebody will make a carbon trials stem some day, but would it really save that much weight? You can get some silly light alu stems already so I don't see it as being a major deal.
  8. Its awesome riding but overall the video is still a long way from trialskings...
  9. Was a good laugh. Riding in the rain was fun I haven't done that for a while. Thanks to all who helped make it happen :). I was the guy with a purple and silver stripey Echo :)
  10. oh my god, thats the most pathetic reason to miss it ever. If your gf would seriously try to stop you coming to this then she needs a good slap! :D I can't believe some people won't be able to come due to work as well :D. There are some crap mangers out there
  11. I'm sorry but you should just not be allowed to do that! I was seriously impressed by your riding today mate, stupid amounts of power :P
  12. Matt Burrows/ gtburrows Looking forward to a great day (Y) I assume we'll be holding a silence at some point in the day?
  13. Should be up for this aslong as my bikes still in 1 piece (Y)
  14. Ouch! I didn't mean he was dumbass for stripping the threads, we've all done it at some point I'm sure :D". This guy is just generally very stupid though. It took him an hour to get the crank off eventually with the aid of a hammer, blowtorch and hacksaw (Y)
  15. FSA DH400s are the strongest bar i've used yet. Broke a set of DWs in 5 weeks but my FSAs have been going for about 8 or 9 months now. They're about £30 from CRC I think.
  16. For not letting him borrow a tool? Why should they? If you can hammer your cranks off, then they weren't tight enough in the first place :-. Best way is to do some light riding with the bolt off to try and work the crank slightly loose, then cover it in boiling water (a blowtorch is better if you've got one) then get the hammer out. You have to be careful riding without the crank bolt though, if the crank works loose then it will damage the taper especially if its ISIS. If none of that works there's always a hacksaw :P" (some dumbass at work had to resort to this as they f**ked the threads :P)
  17. Is the geometry on your new frame a lot different to the old one? Last time I rode with you your bike was more streety than mine :P (and you were a lot better at street than me!) James, wtf is pumpkin arms supposed to mean (Y). I'm not the ginger one!
  18. Lmao I've just seen it, I'm a basturd apparantly :). I'll get you back James :D"
  19. Lol. Ali and Aust, you said it was cheating, but also said its harder to do it bunnyhop on stock. Surely that means its more skillfull to bunnyhop :S". Phil got it spot on, they're both usefull in different situations so why not learn both . I prefer bunnyhopping if I can mainly because my hub slipped trying a pedal hook once and it hurt...
  20. Whats wrong with bunnyhops? I actually hit my back wheel very slightly before the front, seems to help for some reason.
  21. Errrr no, I think I can build wheels fine thanks. The rims flex too much on landing causing spokes to snap, I know other riders who've had same problems with them.
  22. Ronnie's are blatently rubbish Nick :D. Same weight as BMFs even though they're drilled, and strength is pretty similar i'd say. Infact I think Ronnie's are even weaker. Mines been trouble from day 1. I keep snapping spokes, something i never did with my 521. So far I've snapped 15 spokes on my Ronnie :S
  23. Lmao, I don't know what country you're living in but the U.K does certainly not have good rail connections, especially in north wales. It would have taken 5 hours to get there on friday, and then the only way to get back on sunday would have meant catching a train at 1 for a 7hour journey home. Not ideal :)
