I think it seems like a very decent and well thought out frame, 4.75lbs isn't that heavy at all if the frame will take years of trials use. I think it looks great, especially the orange bike above!

It will no doubt be the cheaper ratchet and pawl style DT hub, not the Hugi 240/DT 240/340/440 with 'star ratchet' drive. They are nice hubs, but are not designed for trials and still a long way off the performance of a Chris King. The system only has 18 engagements, and costs a fair bit more than the tried and tested Pro 2. The only person I know of that ran one for trials did get some good use out of it, but it did break.

I'd really love to compare all these rear disc set-ups to my magura. At the moment it is working great, its has brilliant bite and then holds well and feels very solid. It really helps for drop gaps to rails or points etc, and gives you extra confidence for other moves. Its the best brake I've ever tried, and I'm not sure if anybody would ever need more power. Its only downfall is the AWFUL noise it makes! It can actually hurt your ears and makes you feel like an anti-social goon when riding street. For this reason I can see why a disc is appealing to others, I would quite like to try it myself. But for stock riders there are still very few frames out there that are disc compatible. And with the extra cost and flex it has never seemed very worthwhile to me Do you really find that a problem? In about 4 years of using rear Mag I've only got arm pump once, and that was in a comp when my front brake failed and I had to rely entirely on my rear brake (not easy!). Have you ever tried indoor climbing or bouldering? The arm and finger strength you need is way higher, its makes riding feel easy on the arms when compared. Maybe you just need to build some strength up rather than blaming the brake? I've tried Ali's V brake 2 or 3 times over the past year or so, and I always thought it had no bite

Hit the nail on the head! I love trying to improve my power moves as much as any CLS bummer would, but my god there is so much more to trials! That is a RETARDED comment, you seriously need to open your mind Danny. Compare CLS to Benito Ros. I remember watching these 2 ride next to each other at the bike show 2005. They were both very similar in terms of power moves and street lines, but who would win in a competition? Benito would be miles ahead, and there are even better technical riders out there! If you think trials is a street based power moves and label everything else as BMX, then you are just wrong. Trials is more than that and will go even further if riders are more open minded and imaginative. I feel sorry for Tartybikes, I'd be embarrased if I sponsored a rider who posted some of the immature comments above. Ahaha your comments are spot on Joe, although I'd be pretty scared of Mat Smith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I have the attention span of a fish, this is why I wasn't great at subjects in school involving writing -

Oh please, what a stupid comment. If somebody really doesn't like a video and gives a genuine comment explaining why, then they are jealous? Just because 1 person thinks a rider is skillfull and impressive doesn't mean everyone will. For instance I'm pretty sure if you showed an old trialskings vid followed by this video to the general public, people would not be that impressed or entertained by it. A video is much more than just riding. You could be the best rider in the world but if you make a poor video that does not entertain, then people will switch off. This being a public forum, if somebody posts up something for others to watch then they will get replies. You should be grateful to receive varied replies. It seems that there are many members on here who are too immature to realise how important criticism is in society. There are too ways you can react to criticism, you can take it personally and be offended, or you can choose to take it on board. Think about the reasons for the criticism and see if there is anything you can improve on, which will prevent future negative reactions. Hence becoming more accomplished at the skill people are commentating on. No points as to which is the more productive reaction. -

I couldn't actually stand to watch all that video as I'm not gay, and hence find the sight of a guys ass in full screen every time he lands a move quite off putting -
Everyone was pulling lines! I love Bristol, why can't every ride be that much fun?
-
That was an entertaining vid with some brilliant riding. Made me want to jump on my bike, shame were not at Buthiers still
-
Well well well, I never thought I'd see the day! Looks really nice Anal, glad to hear you're back into riding Non TGS riding for the win.
-
Paris on Wednesday it is then! Our ferry lands at 11pm Tues so we can have a kip somewhere and drive straight down, can't wait
-
Yeah its the new model with updated geometry, should be released shortly. Thanks for the comments guys. We wanted to get more riding done but bad weather was a big no for all the expensive equipment. I'm really excited about filming some new lines and ideas on the bike, hopefully there will be more videos in the future
-
Yeah, bit short notice but Max, Mike and I are coming down. Mikes driving so I can't miss my train this time
-
I'm going Tuesday evening, some people aren't going until Wednesday or Thursday.

Hey Rich, I liked the video, great to see you on the bike and ripping it up. As has been said, the 180 bench gap was great. Also liked the gap to front on it and the turn on back wheel on one. I remember the first time I rode Plymouth and I couldn't gap that bench, I thought it was a pretty difficult move. Oh how things have moved on! Have to meet up and ride with you soon

Nice one mwayte

It looks like a decent improvement on the first model. One problem I can see with the brake mounts though, surely any brake used on the underside will just constantly catch your ankles? Or has this been tested and found to be OK?
-
Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking, hopefully by the time we arrive you might have the facilities open
-
Not likely, its always been a bit unprofessional in my eyes. Koxx are interested in the exhibition and the elite competion, the camping has caused them problems before and I can understand why they aren't getting involved this year. The only member of staff from Buthiers park we ever saw was the caretaker guy who took our rubbish bins everyday.
-
Yeah I think that would be an issue on a lot of frames. Its a shame the Heatsink adaptors weren't better designed in the first place, your right when you say they sit too high up. I've got an Avid Arch Supreme V I want to try on the back, but I imagine it will probably be flexy. Unlike most Vs it doesn't use those 3 little holes to provide spring tension so would be perfect for your idea. I'm not sure I want to drill big holes into any of my frames though...
-
Hard to say but I read that as pay before you get there? This is off season for Buthiers and apart from the dorms and the Koxx staff the place is deserted, I doubt there would be anyone to give money to.
-
How do you pay though? Did they confirm all the facilities will be open etc? I'm trying to persuade Mike to ring them and find out everything

So all they did was try and remove it from the crank? I don't see what they did wrong? What is more likely in this case? The shop had somehow caused enough damage to ruin it, Or the part, being on a trials bike and subject to major stress, was already damaged and fell apart on removal? Unless you can prove or get them to admit they have done something wrong I don't see what rights you have? I'd just go and have a calm chat with the manager and ask him to explain what was done to the freewheel and ask him why it happened. After working in a bike shop I can tell you it is pretty f**king annoying when people: bring in bikes, asking you to do work on them. Then you try to fix it but find numerous parts damaged and in need of replacement/repair. You ask the customer what they want you to do about the problems you've found and then they have a go at you and blame you for them . Not saying that's the case here but just be civil about things and think before you go charging in and blame them. I'm sure you will get what you are entitled to (probably nothing)

Nice one John, will be good to see you back on the bike
