I always carry a bleed kit in my bag and I don't mind bleeding it for you, just bring some water/mineral oil. I'll be there Sunday with some locals.

Don't lie on the forum and expect me to not call on it. Is blurring the truth a hobby of yours? Not that Boomsong cares, just they were hardly bad crashes so I don't see the need to lie. I'm sure it had plenty of replacement wishbones and other front sus components before you got it as well. Its a Scirooco, built to crash
-
Err do you know he had 4 or 5 crashes in his Rocco's? Or did he not tell you that

Haha this guy knows the score. Riding in the rain can be really fun and productive, but its often a lonely affair! The prospect of hot girls around when your riding has made the summer months more fun Oh and my advice, get a DECENT waterproof. A cycling specific one that is breathable and waterproof, not just showerproof! It makes a world a difference if you have the right kit. Endura make some decent stuff that you can happily wear on or off the bike.

That poor car! It must have been through half a dozen wishbones or more in its life

What, am I missing something here? I thought the Hi-Fi frames were way way stronger than XTPs?
-
Meh not that interested in the SL parts although I think it is a good idea. Certainly looks like a more targeted and streamlined product range. Really hoping the Urban range will be decent, we need some strong frames and for the love of god some new stronger forks PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE

Completely shocked, what a sad way to go . Like Mike said we were talking about his antics at Nass '05 just the other day. Have so many fond memories of this guy, such a funny and friendly person to be around. As trials riders go he had one of the best personalities. You will be missed mate, my thoughts to friends and family.

I still have space for a passenger...

My rear Echo CNC 05 rim weighs 610g . OK its not 49mm wide, but then I can't honestly say i've ever had problems with tyre roll over the last 3 years of competitions. I think Onza are a bit wide of the mark with these new rims. If I was interested in a lightweight rim, I would not expect it to be that strong so essentially I would see it as a disposable product. Therefore I'd want it to be as cheap and simple as possible. You could buy 2 single wall rims for the price of the pro rim, and they'd be lighter as well. And there was me thinking the Trialtech rims were overpriced for their purpose

Well obviously it will depend on the engine revs and also the vehicle. Although all cars I have driven would slow down quicker in gear even at 1200rpm. Bear in mind I am talking about eeking out every last metre possible by coasting. If you coast a distance of say 1 mile I'm sure you would notice a speed difference at the end compared to staying in 5th. Also I'm pretty anal about fuel efficiency, which is the reason I learnt these techniques in the first place, so you're in good company. On my route to work there are a lot of fast and short stretches of road, with junctions at the end. So I basically pulse and glide the whole way. Each coast you only save a small amount of fuel, but if you do it all the time it adds up.

Very sad to here the news

You realise that Topgear is a fake program made by clueless idiots, who often like to give strong opinions on subjects without having any decent knowledge or expertise on the said subject? But joking aside, neutral can do wonders for your economy if you do it in the right way at the right time. You're right in saying many modern cars will use no fuel when in gear with the throttle off. But even then you can still save fuel by using neutral wisely. This is because with a bit of practice, and if you know the road ahead, you can go a surprisingly long way in neutral before you slow down significantly. If the rode is downhill and you have decent momentum you can literally go for miles. You may use no fuel when in gear but you slow down a lot quicker! Mikes Audi shows 150-200mpg in neutral when doing 20-30mph, and this will only improve when your coasting at higher speeds. So although you are still using fuel it is only a small amount. You can only really use it on quiet roads though, as you will often end up slowing down to 40mph in a national which just pisses people off. Also you can't be in a rush as it is a lot slower! N.B. I strongly advise you don't use the techniques mentioned above as they are dangerous and highly illegal! You have less control over the car while coasting, if you start to slide then you are basically fooked...

I'll be there on Sunday, hopefully will be a good turn out. Just rode Bristol last Sunday and it was great we rode everywhere with next to no hassle
-
I should be coming those days now as well, just gotta book the ferry
-
Yeah, or coming up to junctions/traffic lights. Basically I just aim to never use my brakes even in the city. Its amazing how far you can glide in neutral especially on a slight slope.
-
That poor, poor car. I'm sure it has seen much abuse in its time! I can get 60-64mpg driving to work and back in my '97 1.9d Citroen ZX. That is with tyres pumped up and much use of neutral though! Motorway is just under 60mpg going 60mph, and drops to about 55mpg if I do 70mph. I don't know what it does above that because I almost never go over 70mph
-
Sorry I only just saw this. I'll speak to you on msn Will! Shouldn't cost too much, did Koxx days for just over £100 hoping to keep this around £150. I think Ali and Stan are going the week before now?
-
LOL I have actually lost all respect for you That will go down in the scrap book as your gayest move EVER You actually look like a full on retard in the last pic Smoooth Cheers for all the texts btw dude, glad to hear you're enjoying it.

WWW.BIKETRIALUK.CO.UK WWW.UKBIKETRIAL.CO.UK All the info you should need. Tyketrial competitions are awesome fun and very well organised, great for youngsters, comp newbies and experienced riders alike. The UK nationals have been excellent this year although they are slightly harder than club comps, but you can always ride an easier route and just not score championship points

Stoke On Trent Ride - Saturday 2nd August 2008
Matt Burrows replied to Danny Kearns's topic in Member Organised Rides
I'd come if I wasn't working, sorry dude -
Yes I was merely pointing out that they are more expensive than a lot of forks, but will no doubt still sell. Also, I'm sure 1 alloy wouldn't magically double in value while others only increase slightly, but who knows what tiny percentage of the products selling price actually goes on the raw material... Anybody able to confirm what alloy Trialtechs and Dengs are made from?
